Day of Arafa is the day of Dua

If a person comes to you and says, I'll recite 5 ajzaa till maghrib,
Qur'an is the best of remembrance but this day is the day of Duaa/ supplication.

If he says, I will glorify Allah and pray, So No, Because this day is the day of dua.

If he says, I'll go out and serve water to the pilgrim during hajj as sadaqa jariya, Say Today is the day of Dua

This day is for you, Do not waste it.
This day is the day between you and Allah.
Ask Allah whilst you are certain of the answer.
For no one can hold on what Allah grants and no one can grant what Allah prevents you from.

From the etiquettes of Dua is to praise Allah a lot.

A'ta رحمه الله said :

"If you are able to seclude yourself on the afternoon of the day of a'rafa ,then do so."

(Az Zahd imam ahmad 2221)

‏يا عبادَ الله جِدُّوا، رُبَّ داعٍ لا يُرد.

التكبير المقيد بعد ظهر الخميس ٩ ذو الحجة ١٤٤٦هـ .

O Lord, just as You have blessed them, bless us as well, and grant us joy of worshipping you in the best way and performing this symbol of islam.

إنّه يومُ عرفة؛ يوم المطالبِ والأمنيات .

For it is the day of arafa, the day of the longings and wishes.

أهل القرآن لا يتركون وردهم في عيدهم
the people of Qur'an do not leave their portion of recitation on eid

عيد - وردك من القرآن، من أعظم النعم.
the portion of the recitation of Qur'an on eid is from amongst the greatest blessing !

قال عكرمة: كان يستحب أن يقال في أيام التشريق:
Ikrimah رحمه الله said, “It was recommended to say in the days of Tashreeq,

{رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ}
‘Our Lord! Give us in this world that which is good and in the Hereafter that which is good, and save us from the torment of the Fire.’”

Al-Bukhari and Muslim narrated that Anas رضي الله عنه said it was the most frequent dua of the Prophet ﷺ.

Al-Hasan said, “Good in this world is knowledge and worship, and in the hereafter paradise.”

Sufyan ath-Thawri said, “Good in this world is knowledge and good provision, and in the hereafter paradise.”
