Ibn Qayyim al-Jawzi (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
"Be as Allah has commanded you, and He will be as He has promised you. Respond to Allah when He calls you, and He will respond to you when you call upon Him. Give Allah what He has asked of you in terms of obedience, and He will grant you from His mercy what you have asked of Him."

Ibn Rajab said:
"If this world is not a permanent abode nor a homeland for the believer, then the believer’s state in this world should be one of two:
Either he should be like a stranger residing in a foreign land, his main concern being to gather provisions for his return to his homeland,
Or he should be like a traveler who is not settled at all, but whose day and night are spent journeying toward his final destination.
For this reason, the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم advised Ibn Umar to adopt one of these two states in this world."
The most successful of Allah's servants are those who prepare well for the Day of Return.

"Indeed, death is a source of fear," meaning that death brings about fear, "So when you see a funeral procession, stand up," meaning stand up as a sign of reverence for the reality of death and its associated fears and horrors.
The funeral procession serves as a reminder of this, and the standing is not meant to honor the deceased but to acknowledge the gravity of death...

Never give up on making du’aa . Every du’aa has a purpose: it may be answered as we wish, delayed for a better time, or used to protect us from harm. Trust in Allāh’s wisdom and keep praying.
If you're wondering, 'Why is my Rabb delaying?'
Remember, He isn’t late; His timing is perfect. Whatever you’re waiting for – blessings, healing, or guidance – it’s coming.
Stay patient and keep your focus on Allah.
His timing is always better than what we think is ‘good timing.’
With Allāh as your guide, there’s no need to worry about the path ahead.

The servant is in need of Allah, Glorified and Exalted, in every way, and Allah is free of need of His servants and their actions in every way.
And He, Glorified and Exalted, says: "O mankind, you are the ones in need of Allah, and Allah is the Self-Sufficient, the Praiseworthy. If He wills, He can remove you and bring about a new creation. And that is not difficult for Allah." [Surah Fatir: 15-17].

Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Saadi, may Allah have mercy on him, said:
Allah addresses all people and informs them of their condition and description, that they are in need of Allah in every way.
They are in need of Him in their creation, for if He had not created them, they would not exist.
They are in need of Him in their preparation with strength, organs, and limbs, for if He had not prepared them, they would not be capable of any work.
They are in need of Him in their provision of sustenance, favours, and visible and hidden blessings, for if it were not for His grace, kindness, and facilitation of matters, they would not have received any provision or blessings.
They are in need of Him in diverting afflictions from them, repelling hardships, and removing troubles and difficulties. If it were not for His protection from them, relieving their distress, and removing their hardships, they would continue to face adversity and suffering.
They are in need of Him in their upbringing, in all types of nurturing and forms of planning.
They are in need of Him in their worship of Him, their love for Him, their devotion, and their sincerity in worshiping Him. If He did not guide them to this, they would perish, and their souls, hearts, and conditions would be corrupted.
They are in need of Him in teaching them what they do not know, and guiding them to act in ways that benefit them. If it were not for His teaching, they would not have learned, and if it were not for His guidance, they would not have been rectified.
They are intrinsically poor to Him, in every meaning, and in every respect, whether they feel they need him in some ways or not.
However, the one who is successful and guided is the one who continues to observe his state of neediness in all matters of his religion and world, and who humbly calls upon Him, asking that He does not leave him to himself for the blink of an eye, and that He assists him in all his affairs, keeping this awareness at all times.
Such a person will receive full assistance/Help from his Lord and Allah, who is more merciful to him than a mother to her child.
