Patience is facilitated by two things:
1. Knowing that the world is the abode of distress, affliction built upon the trials.
2. Knowing the rewards of patience.

Do not be from those who desire the hereafter without working for it and who anticipate forgiveness through lengthy aspirations, and speak in the dunya the sayings of abstinence while doing the acts of its seeker, who fear death because of their abundant sins, yet continue to do the very things that make them fearful.
If they become ill they continue to repent, but once alright they frolic, their nafs compels them to follow its inclinations; they do not compel it to follow their belief.

If there's anything that can fix it, then it's leaving off sins.

And it is Allah Who sends the winds, so that they raise up the clouds, and We drive them to a dead land, and revive therewith the earth after its death. As such (will be) the Resurrection!
According to the Hadith of Abu Razin:
I said, O Messenger of Allah, how will Allah bring the dead back to life?
What is the sign of that in His creation?
He said:
يَا أَبَا رَزِينٍ أَمَا مَرَرْتَ بِوَادِي قَوْمِكَ مُمْحِلًا ثُمَّ مَرَرْتَ بِهِ يَهْتَزُّ خَضِرًا
O Abu Razin, do you not pass through the valley of your people (and see it) arid and barren, then you pass through it (and see it) stirred (to life) and green!
I said, `Yes.'
He said:
فَكَذَلِكَ يُحْيِي اللهُ الْمَوْتَى
Thus will Allah bring the dead back to life."

Ordering good and prohibiting evil.

" والذي نفسي بيده لتأمرن بالمعروف، ولتنهون عن المنكر، أو ليوشكن الله أن يبعث عليكم عقابًا منه، ثم تدعونه فلا يستجاب لكم"
((رواه الترمذي وقال: حديث حسن صحيح)).
Hudhaifah (May Allah bepleased with him) reported:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "By Him in Whose Hand my life is, you either enjoin good and forbid evil, or Allah will certainly soon send His punishment to you. Then you will make supplication and it will not be accepted".
[At-Tirmidhi, who categorized it as Hadith Hasan].

The Reflection of Nature
Ibn Al-Jawzī رحمه الله said: ‘I Contemplated the greatness of the Creator in rendering my provision in this world through the life cycle of nature—in that it all starts by the driving of clouds that brings down the rain to earth gently, while the seeds of plants are buried underneath just like rotten dead bodies awaiting the resurrection. And when raindrops hit the seeds they agitate turning from yellow and deathly into green and [full of] life.
I concluded that plants are in need of what I am in need of too; the heat of the sun, the coolness of water, the smooth breeze, and (a healthy) earth to grow in. May He be Exalted for showing me what shall discipline me; how I am raised. It is indeed a shame for the ‘self’ that has been acquainted with some of His wisdom and signs, to turn to anyone other than Him.
You should turn to the Originator and seek help and aid of the Causer. If you succeed to know Him, then glad tidings are for you because knowing Him ensures your success in this life and the Hereafter.’
