💡 How to build, or even rebuild your relationship with the Quran:

➡️ Firstly, we must understand that the Quran is not like anything of this Dunya. The Quran is the speech of our Lord, and it is a صفة from His صفات (a characteristic from His characteristics) that we carry in our chests, recite on our tongues, and have the accessibility to hold in our hands.

➡️ The Quran is that which when you open it and begin to recite, your Iman increases and your worries fade. However many of us have a relationship with the Quran that is inconsistent and doesn’t feel as though we are progressing with our goals whether it be Hifdh, Murajiah, Wird etc.

🟠Some tips to help renew your relationship with the Quran:

1) Asking aid from Allah. Do not ever expect to be able to achieve something without the aid of Allah, and if you are persistent in dua it affirms your truthfulness. Allah is the one who can make that which is difficult easy, so turn to Him alone and seek his support.

2) You’re going to be on social media anyway, so you might as well make it a beneficial place. Follow people who speak about the Quran, who post their journey, who share benefits and reminders about the book of Allah. All of this will increase you in motivation which is needed if you’re feeling low. Print out reminders and stick them around your room where you can see clearly.

3) Surround yourself with those who love the Quran, and not just through their speech but through their actions.

4) Make a Quran corner in your room/house. Even if it just means putting a pillow and a lamp in the corner of your room, and that being your “Quran corner” then that’s just fine! Having a place where you associate the Quran with can help set your mind in the mood for memorisation, reading etc.

5) Start a Quran journal. In this journal you can be as creative or plain as your want. Talk about your journey with the Quran, document what Surah you are memorising, note down benefits from different ayat and tafsir. You’ll look back on this little book fondly one day.

6) Listen to lectures and talks that discuss the Quran, its importance and its virtues. The more we hear about something, the more we are surrounded by that thing, the more we will grow to love it.

7) Lastly, often repeat the حوقلة which is to say لا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله - there is no power in our hands, Allah alone is the one who has complete power and ability. This Dhikr has a profound affect it making that which is difficult easy, as Ibn al-Qayyim discusses in many places.

🌸 I ask Allah that He increases our love for the Quran, and forgives us for our shortcomings, and allows us to embody His speech, in our actions and our hearts.

"He said, 'My Lord, forgive me and grant me a kingdom such as will not belong to anyone after me. Indeed, You are the Bestower.'"

It emphasizes beginning with seeking forgiveness before making a supplication, as sins can hinder the acceptance of prayers.

Thus, it’s important to increase in seeking forgiveness first.
Trusting in Allah and relying on Him are the most important motivators that affirms how worries are temporary and serve as tests from the Creator for the servant, to assess their patience, endurance, and reliance. Then, He grants them what they had dreamed of, as He wishes. It is merely a matter of time that requires patience and effort.

The feeling of trust in Allah is one of the most cherished emotions that can dwell in a person’s heart. Imagine waking up and going to sleep, walking on the earth with confident in what Allah has in store for you. Trusting that He will manage your affairs in the best way, that He will not abandon you as long as you knock on His door and seek strength from Him. Trusting that He will protect you, suffice for you, and grant you what you need—a deeply valued feeling that brings abundant peace!

"When you gaze upon the sky, supplicating, Hoping your Lord will fulfill your wishes,

You’ll see what you didn't anticipate through your prayers, Though you believed that sorrow had dimmed your light.

Do not lose hope in life and its trials, Indeed, the Merciful above will not forsake you.

And if you could perceive the concealed blessings,
You would understand that the best lies in His choices for you..."

I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, say three days before his death: "Let none of you die except while having a good opinion of Allah, the Exalted and Almighty."
( Sahih Muslim)

He ( Ibn Al Qayyim رحمه الله ) said: "Your reliance on Allah corresponds to the extent of your good opinion of Him and your hope in Him. This is why some have defined reliance (tawakkul) as having a good opinion of Allah. In reality, having a good opinion of Him encourages one to rely on Him, as it is impossible to truly rely on someone you have a bad opinion of, nor on someone you do not hope for."

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “Three supplications are certainly accepted: the supplication of a parent, the supplication of a traveler, and the supplication of an oppressed person”
[Narrated by Ahmad and Abu Dawood, and graded as Hasan by Al-Albani].

Mujahid said, “The supplication of a parent is never withheld from Allah, the Almighty.”

The reason for the acceptance of such supplications, as explained by scholars, lies in the sincerity of the parent's request, their recognition of their own helplessness, their good opinion of Allah, their compassionate heart, their humility, and their mercy.
"The merciful are shown mercy by Allah, the Almighty
."
“Listening to the Holy Quran is an act of worship:
Just as reciting the Holy Quran is an act of worship,
listening to it is also an act of worship to Allah Almighty.
Renew your intentions and seek the reward.”

"The attraction of a man to a woman and a woman to a man is a natural instinct and an innate characteristic. Just as a man is commanded to lower his gaze and protect his private parts, so is a woman."

"Look at the precision of the Qur'anic expression, since a woman is commanded to be modest and covered in any place where her beauty might be seen by eyes that should not gaze upon her, her adornment is mentioned without specifying its locations."

"The woman who is keen on preserving her modesty is the one who covers every part of herself, and the lengthening of her headscarf to reach her chest is one of the strongest evidence for covering the face and surrounding areas."

"There is no female who is not fond of her beauty, and she enjoys the praise of others for her attractiveness and charm. Islam has specified this appreciation to her husband only, allowing her to reveal some of it to her close relatives."

"Among a woman's adornments are those that attract the eyes and those that tempts the ears, so she must cover all of that."

Ruling on supplicating to Allah to marry a specific person...

Ruling on supplicating to Allah to marry a specific person...
"What is the ruling on praying to marry a specific person, to get a specific job, or to have male or female children?"

"You should attribute that to Allah's will and trust that Allah will choose what is best for you.

A man prays for a righteous woman, and a woman prays for a righteous husband, but you should not specify a particular person because you might not know if that person is truly the best choice. Thus, let Allah choose for you.

Similarly, when it comes to a job, trust that Allah will choose the suitable position for you. Do not specify a particular job or person for marriage. Instead, ask Allah to choose what is best for you. However, when performing Istikhara (guidance prayer), you can specify the situation, such as asking about a particular woman a man is considering marrying, or a specific job opportunity someone is contemplating. When praying, you should leave the choice to Allah, asking Him to guide you to what is best without pinpointing a particular outcome."

Ibn Rajab رحمه الله said: “If you’re unable to compete with the righteous in performing good deeds, then compete with sinners by racing towards forgiveness.”

Abu al-‘Attahiyah رحمه الله said: « A time will come upon the people, wherein the Quran will disappear from their hearts, nor will they find sweetness or delight in it.

‎If they fall short in what they’ve been commanded they say “Allah is the forgiving and merciful” and if they approach what they’ve been forbidden from, they say “Allah will surely forgive us.”

‎They wear sheep’s clothing over the heart of a ravenous wolf. »

How often should the Quran be completed?

A majority of the salaf say a week, and this is easy for those who Allah has made it easy for.
And for those of weak iman, they said a month ... such that al-Qurtubi said that 40 days is the action of the negligent.

Where do we stand?
"Do not forget you're in this Dunya for your Akhirah ( to make your Akhirah better)."
"Be steadfast with the Quran
Until you are elevated,
In Paradise with the Mighty Sovereign."

"The hunger of the heart is greater than the hunger of the stomach. When the heart is starved and deprived of what nourishes it, it becomes vulnerable to afflictions and weakens, leading to destructive influences that overwhelm it. It turns into a reservoir of impurities, where the evils of doubts and desires collide. Therefore, take care of your hearts and fill them with the knowledge of Allah, His majesty, and reverence."
