«وفـي الأرواحِ آمــالٌ كِـثـارٌ and in our souls Are lot of hopes
عسى الرَّحمنُ يكتُبُها جميعَا» Perhaps the most merciful will write them all for us
-يوم عرفة ١٤٤٥هـ-

الله أكبر.. قالها عبدٌ ضعيفٌ فاكتفى
الله أكبر.. كم بِها خيرٌ عظيمٌ ما خفى

We're half way through the best 10 days, let us ponder over our deeds and take ourselves into accountability.

وهل يُرضيك إذ تلقَى
Will it please you when you meet ..

بربِّ الكونِ أفعالَك؟
the Rabb of the universe with your actions?

فحُثَّ خُطاك لا تدري
So your mistake has been made, you do not know
متى تنقَصُّ أعمالُك
When your deeds diminish?


لأنَّ النّاسَ في سَفرٍ
Because people are on a journey
وكلٌّ للفنَا سالِك
And every art is fine

فكبِّر دائمًا هلِّل
So keep reciting Takbeer( Allahu Akbar) and Tahleel ( La ilaha illal Lah) always
وعطِّر فيه أقوالَك
And perfume your words with it

وبالتسبيح تعظيمٌ
And with his praise there is greatness
لربٍّ حاطَ آمالَك
May Allah takes care of your hopes

تذكَّر أنما الدُّنيا
Remember, this is just the world
متاعٌ زائلٌ هالِك
A fleeting possession

ولن يبقى سوى عملٍ
Nothing would be remaining except your deeds

فما قدَّمت للمالِك؟"
then What did you put forward towards the Creator?”

الله أكبر الله أكبر
لا إله إلا الله
والله أكبر الله أكبر
ولله الحمد

أنت محروم إن كان دعاؤك في يوم عرفة مقتصرًا على الدنيا ولا حظ للآخرة فيه.

You're from the deprived if your supplications on the day of arafa are confined to the worldly life and do not have any share of the akhirah.

‏"يا رب ما فيه ملجأ منك إلا إليك
لاجئ لرحمتك عن ذنبّي، وعن طغوتي

يا ربي اللي على بالي ما يخفى عليك
كَثرت عليّ الحمول.. وعرقلة خطوتي

ما في يدي شيء لكن كل شيء بـيديك
ومحسن بك الظن يوم ألحّ فدعوتي"

تذكِرة في السريع:
quick reminder:

١. المؤمن لا ييأس أبدًا.
1. A believer never gets disheartened

٢. يوم عرفة آتٍ.
2. The day of arafa is approaching.

سبحان الخالق

"أسرع الدعاء إجابةً"

‏يقول ابن القيم رحمه الله :
‏من ليلة الجمعة إلى مغرب الجمعة ، كل ثانية فيها خزائن من الحسنات فليُكثر من الصلاة على النبي ﷺ

سؤال زكريا عليه السلام

تذكّروا في هذه العشر وصية رسول الله: -صلى الله عليه وسلّم- : "فأكثروا فيهنّ من التهليل والتكبير والتحميد"

‏ليس علينا أن نكبّر فحسب؛ بل أن نُكثر! فنحن في أيام يحبّ الله فيها حسن العمل

‏الله أكبر الله أكبر لا إله إلّا الله، الله أكبر الله أكبر ولله الحمد..

‏عندما تقف امام الملك
when you stand in front of the malik( owner)Allah

فطلبه علي قدر عظمته
Ask him according to his greatness

لا علي قدر فقرتك انت وحاجتك
not just according to your deprivation or your needs

وهو الذي يملك خزاءن السموات والأرض
he is the owner of the treasures of heavens and the earth.

حتى تنال المغفرة والعتق من النار

Until you obtain forgiveness and freedom from the fire.

قال ابن رجب -رحمه الله- :
من طمع في العتق من النار ومغفرة ذنوبه في يوم عرفة فليحافظ على الأسباب التي يرجى بها العتق والمغفرة، فمنها:

Ibn Rajab رحمه الله said:
Whoever aspires to be freed from fire and be forgiven of his sins on the day of Arafa , let him preserve the ways for which he hopes for freedom and Allah's forgiveness.
From amongst them are:


1- صيام ذلك اليوم، ففي صحيح مسلم أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: (صيام يوم عرفة أحتسب على الله أن يكفر السنة التي قبله والتي بعده)، [وهو سنة لغير الحاج، أما الحاج فلا يصوم ليتقوى على الدعاء]

1. Fasting that day.
It is narrated from a saheeh hadith that prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
"I anticipate that the fast of the day of Arafa expiates the sins of the previous year and the coming year." (And it is sunnah for the non hujjaj as for the hujjaj then they don't fast in order to gain strength for supplications.)

2- ومنها: حفظ جوراحه عن المحرمات في ذاك اليوم، ففي مسند الإمام أحمد أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: (يوم عرفة هذا يوم من ملك فيه سمعه وبصره ولسانه غفر له)


2. Protection of limbs from the forbidden matters on that day.
In the musnad Ahmad , the prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
"It is this day in which the one who protects his hearing, sight and toungue is forgiven."

3- ومنها: الإكثار من شهادة التوحيد بإخلاص وصدق، فإنها أصل دين الإسلام الذي أكمله الله تعالى في ذلك اليوم وأساسه، وفي المسند عن عبد الله بن عمر قال: كان أكثر دعاء النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يوم عرفة: (لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له له الملك وله الحمد وهو على كل شيء قدير)

3. Abundance of shahada at tawheed with sincerity and submission, for it is the foundation of the Islam , that day Allah completed it and it's foundations and in the musnad on the authority of Abdullah bin Umar ,he said : Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم used to frequently recite the dua on yaum Al a'rafa :
"None has the right to be worshipped but Allah alone, He has no partner, His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He is Able to do all things."


وليحذر من الذنوب التي تمنع المغفرة فيه والعتق. (لطائف المعارف ص283)

Let him beware of sins that prevent him from being forgiven and freedom from fire.
(Lataif Al ma'rif 283)

A'ta رحمه الله said :

"If you are able to seclude yourself on the afternoon of the day of a'rafa, then do so."

(Az Zahd imam ahmad 2221)
