Love for Qur'an
{جامع العلوم والحكم (٢/ ٣٤٢)}
Ibn Masood said:
"Whoever loves Qur'an, loves Allah and his messenger."
(At tabarani)
Ibn Rajab al-Ḥanbāli رحمه الله said:
"And from the greatest of voluntary deeds that brings you closer to Allāh is abundantly reciting Qur'ān, listening to it, pondering upon it and understanding it."
Khabbab bin arat رضي الله عنه said to a man:
"Draw near to Allah as you're capable of and know that you would never be closer to him more than anything which is dearer to him than his words."
(Jami uloom Wal hikam 2/342)

Allah is ever kind to his servants
(Allah is ever kind and gracious to his slaves.)
Abu a'lee at thaqafi said:
"And my lord is the one who when turned to is ever kind,"
And it was said:
"the most kind is the one who reveals the commendable acts of his slaves and conceals their flaws,"
And upon this prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
"O the one who reveals beauty, and hides ugliness,”
And it was said: "he is the one who accepts the little and makes a great deal,
He is the one who mends the broken and eases the difficulty."

The true success

A person should walk a number of steps after eating at night before bed even if it is a few hundred steps. And he must not sleep (or recline) right after eating as it causes great harm to one’s body.

What is wrong with you that you do not hope for dignity from Allah,
when verily He created you in stages?

Glad tidings to the one who performs righteous deeds in his short life and leaves off the forbidden matters,
And be cautious of following his desires and the paths of ignorance and error ,
So he succeeds in his life with good deeds
And succeeds after his death with the pleasure of Allah in the bliss of paradise.

"And when they (the hypocrites) stand up for salah, they stand with laziness." (4:142)

Ibn Abbas (May Allah be pleased with him) said:
"It is disliked that a man stands up for prayer while he's lazy, but he stands up for it with a cheerful face, great desire, and intense joy, for he is conversing with Allah, and indeed Allah is in front of him and he forgives him and responds when he calls upon him."

Spring of the hearts
Malik b. Dīnār used to say:
“O people of the Qurʾan, what has the Qurʾan produced in your hearts? For the Qurʾan is the spring of al-qulub (ie: the hearts),
just as rain is the spring for al-arḍ (ie: the earth).”

Nifaq
I entered upon Abu Al-Darda – Allah be pleased with him – at his home and found him standing in prayer at his place of prayer.
When he sat for tashahhud he started to seek protection with Allah from al-nifaq (hypocrisy).
So when he had finished praying, I said “May Allah forgive you o Abu Al-Darda, what have you got to do with nifaq?”
He said, “O Allah forgive!”, three times, and replied, “Who can feel secure from trial, who can feel secure from trial?
By Allah, a man can be tested with fitnah in a single hour and turn away from his religion.”
[Al-Bayhaqi, Shuʿab Al-Iman 1:857.]

Ibn Rajab رحمه الله said:
"When the relief delays and the believer despairs over it and after excessive prayers and beseech, the signs of the answer do not appear to him, he blames his ownself and says:
" If you had any good in you, you would have received an answer."
And this reproach is dearer to Allah than many acts of worship, because it necessitates humility and an acknowledgement that the person is deserving of any hardship that has befallen him and that he is not deserving of an answer; when this happens, the answer to his duʿaaʾ is hastened to him and eases the difficulty, for exalted be Allah when their hearts are broken for his sake, is able upon the broken to mend it."

Remembering Allah
Rab'e bin anas (May Allah have mercy upon him) said:
"Indeed Allah remembers those who remember him, increases those who are greatful to him , and punishes those who disbelieve in him."

Fear of nifaq
Hasan al-Basri, may Allah have mercy on him, said,
“No one fears hypocrisy but a believer. No one feels safe from hypocrisy but a hypocrite.”
(al-Jawāb al-Kāfī 1/42)

Glad tidings to the strangers
Concerning the statement of the Prophet
“Islaam began as something strange and will return to being strange, as it began“,
Al Hasan Al basari (rahimahullāh) used to say to his companions:
“Oh Ahl-us-Sunnah! Be gentle with one another and may Allaah have mercy on you. For indeed, you are from amongst the fewest of people.”
Younis Ibn ubayd (rahimahullāh) said:
“There is not a thing more stranger than the Sunnah. And what is more stranger than it, is the one who knows it.”
These strangers are of two categories:
The first of them are those who rectify themselves when the people have become corrupt.
The second category contains those who rectify what the people have corrupted of the Sunnah. And this (latter one) is the most highest and virtuous of the two categories.

Forwarded from How Qur’an Benefits
One of the signs of the Hour is that people will become more interested in books; these books will be bought, printed, and marketed in bookstores more than the Book of Allah (Quran).
‘Abd-Allah ibn ‘Amr (raḍiyAllāhu ‘anhu) narrated that the
Prophet Mohammad (ṣall Allahu ʿalayhi wa-’ālihi wa-sallam) said,
Among (the signs of) the approach of the Hour is that evil people will be raised in status and right people will be put down;
people will speak eloquently but their deeds will be bad; and the bad things will become widespread among the people
I said, “What is the bad thing?”
He said, “Whatever is written other than the Book of Allah.”
[Recorded by at-Tabaraani (rahimahullah), al-Haythami (rahimahullah), said in Majma’ az-Zawaa’id, “Its men are the men of Seerah.”]

Adhere to the truth and do not adorn yourselves for the sake of people.
Those who are sincere (khalis) in working for Allah are few. People love to show-off the deeds they perform.
Sufyan al-Thawri used to say, ‘I do not count actions that I do openly.’
The early generation of Muslims used to conceal their actions, but nowadays people’s clothes (i.e. outward appearance) expose them.
Ayub al-Sakhtiyani used to make his garments longer to the point of touching his feet, and he used to say, ‘In the past, people used to seek fame by lengthening their garments, but nowadays they seek fame by shortening them.’
[Shorting them is the Sunnah, but with sincerity].

How many sins have we committed that passed in seconds as if they never happened, but their bitterness remained behind with us?
The ultimate safety is to avoid anything that may lead to sins and not to be close to it.
Whoever understands this and takes all the precautions, he will be closer to the shore of safety.
