Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymīn رحمه الله said:

“The best advice that can be given for healing the heart is to pay attention to the Qur’an.”

Ibn al-Qayyim rahimullah said :

"Whoever loves a beloved, loves talking to him and talking about him, as it was said:

If you claim to love me

Why did you abandon my book?

Have you not considered what is in it?

How pleasant is my speech?! "

Adhere to the truth and do not adorn yourselves for the sake of people.

Those who are sincere (khalis) in working for Allah are few. People love to show-off the deeds they perform.

Sufyan al-Thawri used to say, ‘I do not count actions that I do openly.’

The early generation of Muslims used to conceal their actions, but nowadays people’s clothes (i.e. outward appearance) expose them.

Ayub al-Sakhtiyani used to make his garments longer to the point of touching his feet, and he used to say, ‘In the past, people used to seek fame by lengthening their garments, but nowadays they seek fame by shortening them.’
[Shorting them is the Sunnah, but with sincerity].

"Oh Allah grant us your guidance and be pleased with our deeds".

"If you ask from Allāh, then you'll prosper and win in all cases, for it could be that He grants you what you seek; or He will avert a greater evil from you, or He will save it for you on the Day of Qiyāmah as a (heavier) reward... Therefore, multiply your du'ā to Him.
Whoever supplicates to Allah Almighty will not be disappointed, so supplicate to Allah Almighty and seek forgiveness and repent to Him."

Atā' ibn Abī Rabāh said:

"If and when Allāh Almighty unties your tongue to make du'ā, then know that He wants to grant you what you seek, no matter how grand your request is."

a pious woman; even if she’s not stunningly beautiful, her character and religion make her attractive.

- sharḥ riyāḍ al-ṣāliḥīn 820

One of the greatest signs of success of the servant is his ease in the lord's obedience,

and among the greatest success and facilitation is his standing up in the middle of the night,

even with a single rak'ah, to be alone with it and take pleasure in communicating with his Lord.

Ibn Rajab said:
"He who has a need from his Lord and sleeps at dawn is not sane!"

Learn to ask for your needs during the night prayer!

Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:

“No slave of Allah commits a sin except that a blessing from Allah is removed from him equal to that sin.

If he repents, that blessing will return to him along with other blessings,

and if he persists upon the sin, the blessing will not return to him.

Sins continue to remove blessing after blessing, until all the blessings are gone.”
