The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

“Every word of the son of Adam is against him, except enjoining what is right, or forbidding what is wrong, or mentioning Allah.”

‎Ibn al-Qayyim

‎"If the one giving charity knew that his charity falls in the hand of Allāh before the hand of the poor, the delight of the one giving would be more than the delight of the one taking."

"I learned that the road was lonely, and I had no companion to accompany me, so I memorised the Qur'ān."

[Siyar A`lam al-Nubala' 4/564]
During this last hour of يوم الجمعة pour your heart out to Allah, for it is an hour whereby our prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم informed us that our supplications are accepted.

Ask Allah for forgiveness, for guidance, for steadfastness. Ask Allah for jannah, and for protection of the hellfire. Ask Allah for whatever your heart desires, whatever it longs for, whatever it requires.

The door you deem to be closed, it is not difficult for Allah to open. The matter you deem to be impossible, it is not restricted for Allah. The dreams you have which seem so far fetched, it is not far fetched for the One who created you. So ask Him, and ask Him with certainty.

"Allah will open for you a door you thought due to the severity of your despair, was not created with a key."

Do not inform people regarding how much of the Qur’ān you have memorised. Do not tell them that you've solidified one Juzz, memorised a Hizb, and reviewed ten. Leave them to see for themselves the Qur’ān in you...In your beautiful speech, in your calmness of mind, the chastity of your limbs and your heart, your gentle nature, your leniency, your tranquility and your dignity. Your goal should not be for people to say "Hafidh of the Qur’an.." Rather: "His character was that of the Qur’ān." | @hifdhstatus

If the month of sha’ban would arrive, Amir Bin Qais would close his business, and would devote himself to the recitation of the Quran. He would say, “Glad tidings to the one who rectifies himself before Ramadan.”

Hafiz Ibn Rajab, may Allah have mercy on him, said:

"Since Sha'ban precedes Ramadan, the acts of worship that are made lawful in Ramadan are also made lawful in Sha'ban, such as fasting, reciting the Qur'an, etc. For this reason, be prepared to obey Allah in Ramadan."
"Those who prepare themselves for Ramadan by adhering to obedience and performing good deeds beforehand will receive Allah's assistance during Ramadan as a result of these virtuous actions. Those who engage in various forms of wrongdoing prior to Ramadan undoubtedly burden their hearts and souls, creating barriers that obstruct their ability to perform good deeds during Ramadan."

- Saleh Al Osaimi
Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:

“There is a chaos in the heart that cannot be brought to order except by one turning to Allāh, and in one's heart is a loneliness that cannot be removed except by finding company with Allāh whilst alone, and in the heart [as well] is a sadness that cannot be distanced except by finding happiness with knowing Allāh.”

Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:

“Loving this worldly life hinders man from doing righteous deeds, which are the only things that will avail him in the Hereafter. The more one indulges in loving the worldly life, the more he refrains from doing righteous deeds.”
