قال الحسن البصري - رحمه الله - : مَا الدُّنْيَا كُلُّهَا مِنْ أَوَّلِهَا إِلَى آخِرِهَا إِلَّا كَرَجُلٍ نَامَ نَوْمَةً رأى فِي مَنَامِهِ مَا يُحِبُّ ثُمَّ انْتَبَهَ ".

Hasan al-Basri said:

"The dunya in its entirety - from its beginning to its end, is like a man who falls asleep, sees whatever he loves in his dream then wakes up."

دع الدنيا لأهلها كما تركوا هم الآخره لأهلها وكن فى الدنيا كالنحلة إن أكلت أكلت طيبا وأن أطعمت أطعمت طيبا وإن سقطت على شيء لم تكسره ولم تخدشه

"Leave the dunya for its people just as they've left the concern of the ākhirah for its people. And be in this world like a bee, for when it eats it eats what is pure, when it feeds (others) it feeds what is pure, and when it lands on something, it doesn't break it nor cause damage."

فِي عصر يُوم الجُمعة سَاعة إستجابة

وهِي أخر سَاعة من نهار يُوم الجُمعة أرفعُوا يدينكُم أدعُوا وأنفثوا أحلامكُم فِي كفكُم وأرسلُوها لربكُم ليستجيب دعواتكُم أدعُوا بكُل مافي قلوبكُم دَعوٌا لديكم يقين تام بأنُ ربي يستجيب الدعاء ولاتنسَوني من دعواتكُم.

In the famous Shatibiyyah poem, Imam al-Shatibi highlighted a feature of the Quran by writing:

[وَخَيْرُ جَلِيسٍ لاَ يُمَلُّ حَدِيثُهُ ... وَتَرْدَادُهُ يَزْدَادُ فِيهِ تَجَمُّلاً]

The best company is one whose speech is not dull * and whose repetition only makes the speech more beautiful

In his explanation of this line of the poem, Abu Shamah wrote:

[كل قول مكرر مملول إلا القرآن العزيز؛ فإنه كلما كرر حلا واقتبس من فوائده ما لا يدخل تحت الحصر وأجر على تلاوته بكل حرف عشر حسنات فهو خير جليس وكيف يمل حديثه وهو أحسن الحديث كما قال سبحانه: {اللَّهُ نَزَّلَ أَحْسَنَ الْحَدِيثِ}]

Any speech repeated becomes boring, except for the Quran.

That is because with every repeated reading it is sweet and one finds new benefits - for its benefits cannot be counted - and one is rewarded with ten hasanat for every letter he recites.

So it is the best companion! And how could one become bored with it when it is the best speech, just as Allah said:

[ اللَّهُ نَزَّلَ أَحْسَنَ الْحَدِيثِ]

"Allah sent down [again and again] the best speech ..." [al-Zumar 23]

Ibn Uthaymin رحمه الله here spoke about the one who belittles and disgraces another Muslim for a sin they have committed.

He says, "Know, that if a person insults his brother for a sin he has commited, then the most likely outcome will be that he is tested with it (i.e. he himself falls into that sin). And this came in a narration that ‘Whoever insults his brother for a sin he committed, will not die until he himself falls into it.’ And it was also mentioned, ‘Do not gloat (at your brothers sin) lest that Allah cures him, and then tests you with it.’"

"لا تُظهر الشماته بأخيك فيُعافيه الله ويَبتليك."

‏احياناً لا يعطيك الله كل ما كنت تعتقد انك تريده ليس لأنك لا تستحق ذلك ولكن لأنك تستحق الأفضل

Sometimes Allah doesn’t give you what you think you want, not because you don’t deserve it, but because you deserve better

The five ranks for the companion of the Qur'ān:

Intercession: The Qur'ān will come as an intercessor for its companions on the Day of Resurrection.

Elevation: For indeed your rank in paradise is in accordance to the final ayah (verse) you recite.

Companionship: The proficient reciter is amongst the honorable and righteous scribes (the angels).

Virtue: The best from amongst you is the one who learns AND teaches the Qur'ān.

Eligibility: The people of the Qur'ān are the special chosen people of Allah ﷻ!

May Allah ﷻ make us all from amongst the companions of the Qur'ān!

📖 What a beautiful and noble reason! So what exactly do we use as an excuse from reading the Qur'ān nowadays?

"Whenever Khālid Ibn Walīd used to take the Mushaf he would take it whilst crying and would say: "Jihād has kept me busy from you."

A commander who spent his days and nights spreading Islam, combating the superpowers of his time. One of the greatest soldiers to walk the face of the earth would be brought to tears at the thought of the lack of time he had spent with the book of Allah ﷻ.

Our reason doesn't compare...so what excuse do we have? What should OUR situation be when we pick up the book of Allah ﷻ?

Ikrimah رحمه الله stated:

"There's no one except that (there's a time when) he's happy and (a time when) he's sad. However, make the (time of) happiness gratitude (to Allāh) and make the (time of) sadness patience (upon what Allāh has decreed)."

قال عكرمة رحمه الله:

"ليس أحدٌ إلا وهو يفرح ويحزن، ولكن اجعلوا الفرح شُكراً والحُزن صبراً."

الدعاء الذي لا يكاد أنْ يُرَدّ أبدًا !

قال ابن القيِّم -رحمه الله-:
" من أنفع الأدوية؛ الإلحاح في الدعاء ".
وقال -رحمه الله-:
" من أُلْهِمَ الدعاء فقد أريد به الإجابة ".



ولعل ما (بينك) وبين (مطلوبك) هو الدعاء!

In his biographical notes on Imam al-Shafi'i, al-Dhahabi wrote:

[المزني: قال الشافعيُّ: «من تعلَّم القرآنَ عَظُمَت قيمتُه]

al-Muzani said: I heard al-Shafi'i say, "When someone learns the Qur'an, his value increases."

[Siyar A'lam al-Nubala' 8/243]

{ إِنَّ رَبِّي لَسَمِيعُ الدُّعَاءِ ﴾

أي: قريب الإجابة ممن دعاه و قد دعوته فلم يخيّب رجائي.

﴿رَبَّنا إِنَّكَ تَعلَمُ ما نُخفي وَما نُعلِنُ وَما يَخفى عَلَى اللَّهِ مِن شَيءٍ فِي الأَرضِ وَلا فِي السَّماءِ﴾ [إبراهيم: ٣٨]

أي: أنت أعلم بنا منا، فنسألك من تدبيرك وتربيتك لنا أن تيسر لنا من الأمور التي نعلمها والتي لا نعلمها ما هو مقتضى علمك ورحمتك.

﴿.. وهيئ لنا من أمرنا رشدا﴾

أي: يسّر لنا كل سبب موصل إلى الرشد، وأصلح لنا أمر ديننا ودنيانا.

• السعدي -رحمه الله-.

"من أبْصَر بِعين قَلْبِه لُطفَ رَبِّه الخَفي ، وتذكر
كم مرةٍ أنجاه ، عَزَّ عليهِ أن ييأس طرفة عَين"

"لا أحد يمتلك حياة كاملة، ولا قلبًا خاليًا، ولا رأسًا خفيفًا من الأعباء، ولكن هناك من يدعو الله ثم يتوكل ويبتسم."

‏لأذكار الصباح أثر عظيم في قوة البدن، وصفاء الذهن، ونور البصيرة، وراحة القلب وطمأنينته..

قال الامام ابن القيم:
صليت مرة الفجر خلف شيخ الاسلام بن تيمية فظل يذكر الله حتى انتصف النهار..
ثم التفت إلىّ، وقال:
"هذه غدوتى لو لم أتغدَ غدوتى سقطت قوتي".

والغدوة: هي طعام أول النهار

"مَن فرّغ نفسه لكتَاب الله فَحفظه، وحَافظ عليه وَضبطه، فإن الله سبحانه وتعالى يَكفيه همّ الدنيَا وَالآخرة"
