﴿إِنَّ الَّذينَ قالوا رَبُّنَا اللَّهُ ثُمَّ استَقاموا فَلا خَوفٌ عَلَيهِم وَلا هُم يَحزَنونَ﴾ [الأحقاف: ١٣]
هذه البشرى ممَّا يُثلج صدرَ المؤمن، ويقذف الطُّمَأنينةَ والأمان في قلبه، ففي ذلك الموقف الشديد يكون المؤمن بمَعزِل عن أيِّ أذًى أو خوف.

Indeed the best words are the words of Allah

وقال يوسف :

"بالأدب نَفْهُمُ الْعِلْمَ ، وَبِالْعِلْمِ يَصْحُ لَكَ الْعَمَلُ وَبِالْعَمَلِ تَنَالُ الْحِكْمَةَ وَبِالْحِكْمَةِ تَفْهَمُ الزُّهْدَ ، وَتُوَفَّقُ لَهُ وَبِالزُّهْدِ تَتْرُكُ الدُّنْيَا ، وَبِتَرْكِ الدُّنْيا تَرْغَبُ فِي الآخِرَةِ ، وَبِالرَّغْبَة في الآخرة تنالُ رضی اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ."

اقتضاء العلم والعمل ٣١

«تقوى الله في السر؛ هو علامة كمال الإيمان، وله تأثير عظيم في إلقاء الله لصاحبه الثناء في قلوب المؤمنين».

جامع العلوم والحكم ابن رجب، (٤١٠/١)].

قال الشيخ ابن عثيمين - رحمه الله- :

‏"من انتظر الفرج اثيب على ذلك الانتظار لأن انتظار الفرج حسن ظن بالله، وحسن الظن بالله عمل صالح يثاب عليه الانسان".

Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen - may Allah have mercy on him - said:

“Whoever waits for relief will be rewarded for that waiting, because waiting for relief is having good thought of Allah , and having a good thought of Allah is a good deed for which a person will be rewarded.”

‏فتاوى نور على الدرب (٢٢٥)

" وَاسْـأَلُوا اللَّهَ مِن فَضْلِـهِ ۗ "

‏قال سُفيان بن عيينة رحمهُ الله :

"‏لَم يَأمر بالسؤَالِ إلا لِـيُعطِي ."

‏تفسير القرطبي (١٦٥/٥)

وحُبُّ اللهِ هو فِطرةُ القَلْبِ التي فُطِرَ عليها.

قال ابنُ تَيميَّةَ:

"القَلْبُ إنما خُلِق لأجْلِ حُبِّ اللهِ تعالى... فاللهُ سُبحانَه فطَر عبادَه على محبَّتِه وعبادتِه وَحْدَه، فإذا تُرِكت الفِطرةُ بلا فسادٍ، كان القَلْبُ عارفًا باللهِ مُحِبًّا له عابِدًا له وَحْدَه".

وقال صِدِّيق حسن خان:

"مَحَبَّةُ اللهِ إذا استغرق بها القَلْبُ واستولت عليه، لم تُبعَثِ الجوارحُ إلَّا إلى مراضي الرَّبِّ، وصارت النَّفسُ حينئذ مُطمَئِنَّةً بإرادةِ مولاها عن مرادِها وهواها".

Answered by Shaykh Abu Hamza Hassan bin Muhammed Ba Shu'ayb - may Allah preserve him -

Will observing the morning and evening remembrances protect me from getting afflicted with illnesses such as Cancer? Seeing as it’s a protection from all harm and ills, as well as sudden calamities?

Yes, it will protect you, with the permission of Allah, from spiritual and physical harm.

Wear the coat of adhkar so it can protect you from the evils of humans and jinn. And cover your souls with istighfar so it can erase the sins of the night and day.

قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم :

” صلُّوا عليَّ و اجْتَهِدُوا في الدعاءِ و قولوا : اللهمَّ صَلِّ على محمدٍ، و على آلِ محمدٍ و بارِكْ على محمدٍ و على آلِ محمدٍ كما بارَكْتَ على إبراهيمَ و آلِ إبراهيمَ، إنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ “ .

وقال عبد الرَّحمن الحبلي:

"ليس هديَّة أفضل من كلمة حِكْمَة تهديها لأخيك"

-سنن الدارمي 351

وقال أبان بن سليم:

"كلمة حِكْمَة لك من أخيك، خير لك من مال يعطيك؛ لأنَّ المال يطغيك، والكلمة تهديك."

-بهجة المجالس وأنس المجالس لابن عبد البر (1/5).

قال الحسن البصري - رحمه الله - : مَا الدُّنْيَا كُلُّهَا مِنْ أَوَّلِهَا إِلَى آخِرِهَا إِلَّا كَرَجُلٍ نَامَ نَوْمَةً رأى فِي مَنَامِهِ مَا يُحِبُّ ثُمَّ انْتَبَهَ ".

Hasan al-Basri said:

"The dunya in its entirety - from its beginning to its end, is like a man who falls asleep, sees whatever he loves in his dream then wakes up."

دع الدنيا لأهلها كما تركوا هم الآخره لأهلها وكن فى الدنيا كالنحلة إن أكلت أكلت طيبا وأن أطعمت أطعمت طيبا وإن سقطت على شيء لم تكسره ولم تخدشه

"Leave the dunya for its people just as they've left the concern of the ākhirah for its people. And be in this world like a bee, for when it eats it eats what is pure, when it feeds (others) it feeds what is pure, and when it lands on something, it doesn't break it nor cause damage."

• الفوائد لابن القيم (١١٨)

فِي عصر يُوم الجُمعة سَاعة إستجابة

وهِي أخر سَاعة من نهار يُوم الجُمعة أرفعُوا يدينكُم أدعُوا وأنفثوا أحلامكُم فِي كفكُم وأرسلُوها لربكُم ليستجيب دعواتكُم أدعُوا بكُل مافي قلوبكُم دَعوٌا لديكم يقين تام بأنُ ربي يستجيب الدعاء ولاتنسَوني من دعواتكُم.

In the famous Shatibiyyah poem, Imam al-Shatibi highlighted a feature of the Quran by writing:

[وَخَيْرُ جَلِيسٍ لاَ يُمَلُّ حَدِيثُهُ ... وَتَرْدَادُهُ يَزْدَادُ فِيهِ تَجَمُّلاً]

The best company is one whose speech is not dull * and whose repetition only makes the speech more beautiful

In his explanation of this line of the poem, Abu Shamah wrote:

[كل قول مكرر مملول إلا القرآن العزيز؛ فإنه كلما كرر حلا واقتبس من فوائده ما لا يدخل تحت الحصر وأجر على تلاوته بكل حرف عشر حسنات فهو خير جليس وكيف يمل حديثه وهو أحسن الحديث كما قال سبحانه: {اللَّهُ نَزَّلَ أَحْسَنَ الْحَدِيثِ}]

Any speech repeated becomes boring, except for the Quran.

That is because with every repeated reading it is sweet and one finds new benefits - for its benefits cannot be counted - and one is rewarded with ten hasanat for every letter he recites.

So it is the best companion! And how could one become bored with it when it is the best speech, just as Allah said:

[ اللَّهُ نَزَّلَ أَحْسَنَ الْحَدِيثِ]

"Allah sent down [again and again] the best speech ..." [al-Zumar 23]

Ibn Uthaymin رحمه الله here spoke about the one who belittles and disgraces another Muslim for a sin they have committed.

He says, "Know, that if a person insults his brother for a sin he has commited, then the most likely outcome will be that he is tested with it (i.e. he himself falls into that sin). And this came in a narration that ‘Whoever insults his brother for a sin he committed, will not die until he himself falls into it.’ And it was also mentioned, ‘Do not gloat (at your brothers sin) lest that Allah cures him, and then tests you with it.’"

"لا تُظهر الشماته بأخيك فيُعافيه الله ويَبتليك."

Sometimes Allah doesn’t give you what you think you want, not because you don’t deserve it, but because you deserve better
