“Where, after all, do universal human rights begin? In small places, close to home — so close and so small that they cannot be seen on any maps of the world.
Yet they are the world of the individual person; the neighbourhood he lives in; the school or college he attends; the factory, farm or office where he works.
Such are the places where every man, woman, and child seeks equal justice, equal opportunity, equal dignity without discrimination.
Unless these rights have meaning there, they have little meaning anywhere. Without concerted citizen action to uphold them close to home, we shall look in vain for progress in the larger world.”
Eleanor Roosevelt, Chair of the United Nations Commission on Human Rights that drafted the UDHR in 1946-1948, 10 December 1958

Universal Declaration of Human Rights
I had a dream last night where someone in our house had taken Trump and one of his advisors hostage but forgot to lock the door and they escaped.

I want you to know that most of these transphobes don't have solid arguments or complex philosophical thoughts behind their stance.
They only base people's worth on their fuckability.
The same goes for their views on race, minorities, gender equality, etc.
If the "ideology" makes it easier for them to mindlessly fuck or objectify whoever they want without consequences, or even much effort, they agree with it. If, however, it results in personal freedom for women, trans people, gay people, or goes against racial or sexual prejudice, and more informed choices that result in people escaping their abuse or toxic people like them, they will be against it.
That's what drives them. Not morality, not ethics, not philosophical questions.
Objectification. Holding up archaic ideals such as the patriarchy.
This is why they always label trans women as "predators", and trans men as "victims".

Anyway, I'm sure Elliot Page is happy that he is forever free from being the subject of these idiots' perverted fantasies.
