سند و توضیح این حدیث را که می‌گوید: «تمام زن شر است و بدتر از همه آن‌که از بودنش گریزی نیست»، چگونه ارزیابی می کنید؟ (نهج البلاغه)

با اندکی تأمل می‌توان معنای دیگری برای این روایت در نظر گرفت که مشکل چندانی ایجاد نخواهد کرد، بدین ترتیب که واژۀ «شر» را به زشتی و بدی معنا نکرده، بلکه به دردسر و افزایش مسئولیت ترجمه کنیم. چنین معنایی از «شر» در متون اسلامی بسیار به چشم می‌خورد، مانند این آیه از قرآن: «إِذا مَسَّهُ الشَّرُّ جَزُوعاً»،[6] یعنی انسان هر وقت که دچار دردسری شد، ناله و فریادش بلند می‌شود.

ضرب المثلی فارسی وجود دارد که «زن و بچّه دردسرند و بى دردسر هم نمى‏توان زندگى کرد» یا «زن بلا است و هیچ خانه‌ای بدون بلا مباد»!

طبیعتاً همان‌گونه که رگه‌هایی از مزاح و شوخی در این ضرب المثل‌ها به چشم می‌خورد و کمتر زنی از شنیدن آنها که آکنده به نوعی طنز است احساس ناراحتی می‌کند، ممکن است متن منسوب به امام علی(ع) نیز در فضایی مشابه ایراد شده باشد و مشابه چنین طنزی در نظر ایشان بوده است.

Answer: "We're sure Hazrat was just kidding, ya know? Like in a 'Women are an annoyance/inconvenience that you can't live without' way, lol, right? We could translate شر as not evilness or sinfulness, just 'trouble' and 'inconvenience' haha. That makes it better, right? Like, I'm pretty sure women don't get mad at these jokes, ya know? Otherwise the whole Hadith would be questioned... WHICH IT SHOULDN'T."

I'm pretty sure all of you know quite well that I'm not one to use every opportunity to just shit on Islam and Muslims. I hate making my religious or societal trauma into a hateful act that becomes my entire personality and rips all sanity, reason and sense of empathy away from my mind.

But when I read some of these bullshit justifications for an inherently sexist and patriarchal Abrahamic religion, it makes my blood boil.
