I've seen a bunch of people on tiktok/ instagram reels keep getting these words wrong, and it's honestly irritating! I'll list it down below so you guys won't be one of them 💋. ( make sure none of you make this small mistake or admin ena will haunt your life )

1. accept & except.
• accept = menerima
• except = kecuali

2. affect & effect.
• affect = mempengaruhi
• effect = pengaruh/kesan

3. advice & advise
• advice = nasihat
• advise = menasihati

4. your & you're
• your = awak punya
• you're ( you are ) = awak adalah / awak sedang

5. there, their, & they're
• there = di sana
• their = mereka punya
• they're ( they are ) = mereka adalah / mereka sedang

6. lose & loose
• lose = hilang
• loose = longgar

7. than & then
• than = daripada ( for comparison )
• then = kemudian

8. weather & whether
• weather = cuaca
• whether = sama ada

9. quite & quiet
• quite = agak
• quiet = diam/senyap

10. lie & lay
• lie = baring ( also means tipu )
• lay = meletakkan

11. breathe & breath
• breathe = bernafas
• breath = nafas

12. dessert & desert
• dessert = pencuci mulut/manisan
• desert = padang pasir

13. further & farther
• further = selanjutnya
• farther = lebih jauh

14. peek & peak
• peek = mengintip
• peak = puncak

15. peace & piece
• peace = kedamaian
• piece = sekeping
