For obtaining Certified Copies of Answer Books through RTI

📄 PROCEDURE TO OBTAIN CERTIFIED COPIES THROUGH RTI – CMA STUDENTS

Follow these steps to apply for your Certified Answer Sheet Copies through RTI:

Step 1: Search for “RTI Online” on your browser.

Step 2: Open the official RTI Online Portal – rtionline.gov.in

Step 3: You don’t need to register or log in. Click on “Submit Request” available on the portal.

Step 4: The Guidelines for Use of RTI Online Portal will appear.

Read the guidelines and tick:
☑️ “I have read and understood the above guidelines.”

Then click Submit.

Step 5: Under Select Ministry/Department/Apex Body, choose:
➡️ Ministry of Corporate Affairs

Step 6: Under Select Public Authority, choose:
➡️ The Institute of Cost Accountants of India

Step 7: Fill in all the required personal and student details carefully.

Step 8: In the “Text for RTI Request Application” section, clearly mention that you require certified copies of your evaluated answer books.

Include your examination details and the paper numbers/subject names for which you want the copies.

Step 9: Upload the required supporting document, such as your self-attested Admit Card/Hall Ticket, if applicable.

Step 10: Enter the security code and click Submit.

Step 11: Make the applicable RTI application fee payment (₹10) through the available online payment option.

Step 12: Once successfully submitted, you will receive an RTI Application Registration Number. ✅

📌 Save this number carefully!
You can use it to track the status of your RTI application.

📩 WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

Keep checking your registered email and RTI application status for further communication.

If you receive an intimation asking you to pay an additional amount for providing the certified copies, follow the payment instructions mentioned in that official communication.

If ICMAI specifically instructs you to make the payment through a Demand Draft (DD):

➡️ Obtain the DD for the required amount in favour of “The Institute of Cost Accountants of India.”

➡️ Mention your RTI Application Number and Student Registration Number on the back of the DD.

➡️ Send the DD along with the required RTI application/document copy to the address specified by ICMAI in the communication.

⚠️ Important: Payment requirements, methods and processing timelines can change. Always follow the latest instructions displayed on the RTI portal or communicated by ICMAI for your particular application.
