​​✈️ 3 countries abroad with free education

Germany

In Germany, universities are funded by the state, so education here is free for both local and foreign students, whether it is a bachelor's or master's degree. Students pay only a semester fee, which varies from 60 to 400 EUR per semester. The most expensive education will be in the state of Baden-Wuttenburg, where they introduced increased fees for foreigners (about 1500 EUR per year). Free education in Germany is mainly in German, so for admission to the university you need to confirm knowledge of the language at the C1 level. However, every year there are more and more free programs in English at public universities in Germany, and there are many bachelor's programs. The full database of programs can be viewed on the DAAD website.

Czech Republic

Education in the Czech Republic is free, as it is also funded by the state. But you can study for free only in Czech, English-language programs are paid. Therefore, for admission, you need to confirm language skills at least B2 level, for example, using the CCE exam. We wrote more about it and preparation earlier in our article.

Slovakia

Free education in Slovakia exists only in the state language, so for admission you need to confirm your level, at least B1-B2, with a certificate. The exam takes place in Bratislava about 4 times a year and costs 120 EUR. Education in English is also available at public and private universities, prices vary from 500 to 6000 EUR. You can enter Slovakia immediately after school, recertification is not required, but you may need to pass entrance exams for some disciplines.
The cost of living in Slovakia is relatively low, the cost of living in a hostel is 60-100 EUR per month, food costs are about 100 EUR per month.
