β€‹β€‹πŸŒInternships in UNICEF

If you are thinking of entering the world of diplomacy and public policy, an internship at the United Nations could be the ideal start for you. The objective of the internship is to give you a first-hand impression of the day-to-day working environment of the United Nations. You will be given a real chance to work with our people.

UNICEF offers internships all over the world. The type of work the intern will do depends on the office needs to which they are assigned, their qualifications, and their interests. Most interns work on one or more projects that include research, database management, communications, and many other areas. Main requirements: 1) be enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral program or have completed their undergraduate degree within the last two years, be proficient in at least one of UNICEF's working languages: English, French, or Spanish, and have an excellent academic record, as proven by the relevant documents.

The Chevening Scholarship deadline is in 10 days, can you believe it?! 😱
If you haven't started yet, we advice to hurry up. To make the application process much easier we have made a list of useful tips for you:

πŸ”ΉIt is necessary to apply independently to universities and take admissions tests

πŸ”ΉPay attention to the average score of the universities to which you are applying to assess your chances

πŸ”ΉLanguage test scores are not required for scholarships but may be required when applying to universities

πŸ”ΉGet a volunteer experience - this can increase your chances of admission

πŸ”ΉApply to universities as early as possible so you have time to get an invitation and attach it to your Chevening application

πŸ”ΉTexts may be checked by the anti-plagiarism system, so don't copy them

πŸ”ΉApply to programs within the same professional field to demonstrate your goals

πŸ”ΉIf you already have a master's degree, you can still receive a scholarship, but you must clearly explain why it will help you fulfill your career plan and affect positive change in your country.

β€‹β€‹πŸ™‹β€β™€οΈ Hi, my name is Anna, and I am a StudyQA adviser. I want to share my experience and tell you a story of how I received the Chevening scholarship for the first time and went to study in the UK for free!

πŸ”ΉIn 2019 I graduated with a degree in English Language Teaching. By that time, I had experience working in a school, but at some point, I decided to change my field of study and work. I found a job in management and became active in social activities, and started my initiative group. I got excited about the idea of learning a new profession in a Master's program and was considering variants abroad.

πŸ”ΉDuring my search, I came across the Chevening Scholarship, which offered the opportunity to enroll in a British master's program with full tuition coverage. I come from a small town and my income did not allow me to study abroad, so I decided to apply for the scholarship. In 2020, I applied for Chevening because I realized that my portfolio with social activities and professional skills fit the criteria of the program. I passed all the stages the first time and, as a result, now I am studying at the University of Sussex.

πŸ”ΉIt turned out that studying abroad with tuition and living coverage without much income or connections around the world is possible! You can see it in my example, or you can try it yourself!

🀝In my consultation, I will help you create a strong profile that will allow you to study in England with a scholarship.

Have you been dreaming of studying in Europe? Take a look at this post that describes you some pros and cons of being a European student!

βž•Big variety of programs and courses
Many universities in Europe offer study options that can be customized to your needs and preferences. You can mix and match and create a study profile that best defines your career goals.

βž•Promising career prospects
Europe offers unmatched exposure and experience that give you better career prospects. Companies are enthusiastic about having international people in their teams, and students are encouraged to do internships as part of their studies.

βž•Travel
While in Europe, you would be given a Schengen visa that lets you visit 26 countries within Europe. Moreover, students less than 26 years of age can enter museums and other tourist attractions for free with their id cards.

βž•Scholarship opportunities with 50-100% coverage
Almost every European country offers various scholarships (public or private) which may finance your studies abroad in case you are not able to financially afford it otherwise.

βž–The language barrier
Lots in Europe find it difficult to adjust to their daily lives because of the language barrier. Communication can become challenging as many locals are not adept at talking in English.

βž–High cost of living
The tuition fee in Europe, though not as high as the U.S., is pretty expensive. Unless students manage to find a suitable scholarship, it would be needed to take huge loans from banks. Nevertheless, lots of northern countries have a high cost of living which means that accommodation and grocery shopping can turn out to be pricey too.

βž–Adapting to a new culture
For some people, settling into a new culture comes quite naturally while for others, it takes quite some effort.

βž–Being far away from home and family
Adapting to the new country without having support and being at a huge distance from your relatives can be highly stressful, especially in covid-19 times.
