PAST CONTINUOUS

[was + (verb + ing)]

past continuous refers to things that were happening in a specific time in the past.

example:

Darla: What were you doing last night?
You: I was vacuuming the wall.

although replying with "i vacuumed the wall" is correct, it's considered the kind of English for secondary students. aim to use the best versionsπŸ‘Œ

hint β€” i want the answers all in past continuous.. hopefully :P
I was standing in this space I woke up in. It felt like I was nowhere and everywhere at once. Before me was a grandfather clock, ticking and ticking. Behind the clock was the sky; the moon and the stars, a bit too close to me. I waited for something to happen.

The clock struck 6 β€” morning? evening? I wasn't sure. A sudden gust of wind breezed by, yet I remained unmoved.
