Type:is commenest non glial tumor
Site:parasagittal region over cerebral convexties (commenest)
Aries from :meninges of vault,falx tentourim
Sex: female more than male
Risk factor 1- neurofibromatosis
2- radiation

*benign commonly just 2% are malignant

CT imaging

features:

Well-circumscribed, high-attenuating, broad-based extra-axial mass
20% show calcifications
20% show focal hyperostosis, which is reactive and not a sign of invasion
Variable degree of adjacent parenchymal brain edema Display uniform and intense enhancement

MRIfeatures:

imaging

Isointense on T1WI and mildly hyperintense on T2WI

‘Cleft sign’: thin CSF space between lesion and underlying brain Perilesional flow voids nomolense Avid, intense uniform enhancement 70% display dural tail enhancement

تصير بل vestibular nerve ورم اسمه
Vestibular shwannoma
