Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV)
➕Purpose: Designed specifically for launching small satellites into Low Earth Orbit (LEO) and Sun-Synchronous Polar Orbit (SSO).
➕Payload Capacity: Up to 500 kg to SSO, up to 300 kg to GTO.
➕Turnaround Time: Rapid launch capability with a turnaround time of less than a week.
➕Launching Mini, Micro or Nano satellites
Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV)
➕Purpose: Primarily used for launching satellites into polar orbits and geostationary transfer orbits.
➕ Payload Capacity: Up to 1,750 kg to SSO, up to 1,425 kg to GTO.
➕Turnaround Time: Longer turnaround compared to SSLV.
➕Usage: Used for a wide range of missions, including Earth observation, remote sensing, and interplanetary missions.
Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV)
➕Purpose: Designed to launch heavier payloads into Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit (GTO) and beyond.
➕ Payload Capacity: Up to 5,000 kg to LEO, up to 2,500 kg to GTO.
➕ Turnaround Time: Longer turnaround, given the complexity of missions.
➕Usage: Primarily used for launching communication satellites, weather satellites, and interplanetary missions.
➕Advanced Technology: Equipped with a cryogenic upper stage, allowing it to carry heavier payloads to higher orbits.

➕In News:
● Recently Union Ministry of Women and Child Development launched The SHe-Box portal
➕About SHe-Box Portal:
● Type: Centralized platform for registering and monitoring complaints of sexual harassment in workplace
● Objective: To provide a common platform for filing complaints, tracking their status, and ensuring time-bound processing by Local Committees and Internal Committees across govt and private sectors respectively
● Functionality:
- Complaint Registration
- Monitoring: Real-time tracking of complaints through a designated nodal officer
- Information Repository: Centralized database of ICs and LCs formed nationwide
- Assured Redressal: Streamlined process for all stakeholders to ensure effective resolution of complaints

● Upgraded Version: Launched in 2017, aligned with The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013

➕ Launch: Approved by the Union Cabinet in September 2023, with a budget of Rs 2,817 crore.
➕Purpose: To create Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) in the agriculture sector, similar to the government's e-governance initiatives like Aadhaar and UPI.
➕ Key Components:
- AgriStack: A farmer-centric DPI consisting of:
- Farmers’ Registry: Digital identities (Farmer ID) linked to land records, crops sown, and benefits availed.
- Crop Sown Registry: Digital Crop Surveys for recording crops planted by farmers.
- Geo-Referenced Village Maps: Linking geographic information to land records.
- Krishi Decision Support System (DSS): A geospatial system unifying data on crops, soil, weather, and water resources for better decision-making and crop insurance claims.
- Soil Profile Maps: Detailed soil maps (1:10,000 scale) covering 142 million hectares of agricultural land.

PM E-DRIVE Scheme
➕ Launch: Approved by the Union Cabinet with an outlay of ₹10,900 crore for two years to promote electric mobility in India.
➕ Ministry: Implemented by the Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI).
➕ Key Features:
-Subsidies: Incentives for electric two-wheelers (e-2Ws), three-wheelers (e-3Ws), e-ambulances, and e-trucks.
Support for 24.79 lakh e-2Ws, 3.16 lakh e-3Ws, and 14,028 e-buses.
-E-Vouchers: Introduction of Aadhaar-authenticated e-vouchers to streamline EV purchases.
-E-Ambulances: Deployment of e-ambulances to promote greener healthcare solutions.
-E-Buses: Procurement of 14,028 e-buses in cities with populations over 40 lakh.
-Priority for cities/states procuring buses after scrapping old ones.
-E-Trucks: Incentives for e-truck purchases, with additional support for scrapping old trucks.
-Charging Infrastructure: Setting up public charging stations, including 22,100 fast chargers for e-4Ws and 48,400 for e-2Ws/e-3Ws.
-Testing Infrastructure: Enhancing vehicle testing facilities for modern and emerging EV technologies.
