Every lesson is basically an experiment. When you finally find a lesson that works well, it is actually the result of knowledge accumulated from many previous “experiments” that didn’t work as well.

I was held up by traffic for an hour but I managed to make it in time for my flight.

I used to pick up such nice chunks and try to make up sentences.

I guess I need to come back to old useful habits;)

There is a threat to thinking objectively - it's called self-righteousness.  It kills your ability to look at something from different angles because something inside you keeps telling you that you're right and others are wrong.

So my friends, for the sake of objective truth, let's make sure we take the time to give things enough thought before jumping into a quick, one-sided conclusion.

I always wonder whether books or films actually change our attitude toward things in life.

Does reading a self-help book or watching a motivational YouTube video really change the way we act?

I think that, most of the time, we look for sources that align with our 'built-in' approach or preferences. That’s called confirmation bias.

Take this example: you’re struggling to choose between an iPhone and a Samsung, but deep down you really want the 'status' phone (you know which one it is). Ten people tell you that Samsung is a better deal, but one person says the iPhone is superior — and you go for the latter.

Or imagine you’re not a very forgiving person, but a book you’ve recently read tells you that it’s better to forgive because life is too short to stay in conflict with others. You’re highly unlikely to change your stubborn personality and suddenly decide to let everything go.

There is no perfect daily routine. People may have one, but not for long. Humans are not used to limits and restrictions by nature. We love being spontaneous.

Most of the videos about effective methods on social media are made by people who are glued to devices and die for views and new subscribers.

You try your best to get something done, but halfway through, things start getting in the way. This is where the right mindset should come into play. Life has its ups and downs, so just get on with it and move forward.
