Announcement for First-Year Students: Life Skills and Career Counseling
We are excited to announce a special training program on Life Skills and Career Counseling for selected first-year students of freshman program at ASTU. The training sessions will take place from February 20-21, 2026.
Training Schedule
•  February 20, 2026 (Morning Session): Experience Sharing and Training Orientation Program
o  The orientation will be held in the presence of the Top Management of the university and invited guests at Oda Nabe Hall in the morning.
•  February 20 in the afternoon and February 21, 2026: Training on Life Skills and Career Counseling Services will be delivered by trained and experienced Trainers
Target Groups
The training program is specifically tailored for the selected students of pre-engineering and pre-science students of Freshman Program whose names are listed below

Important Notice
For students in the aforementioned groups, there will be no classes in the morning on the training dates (February 20-21, 2026). Please find your respective training rooms and trainers indicated below.

ወጣት ዳዊት ተሾመ የ 23 ዓመት ዕድሜ ሲሆን የጊቢያችን ተማሪ የሆነው ዳግም ተሾመ መንታ ወንድም ነዉ። ዳዊትን ባጋጠመው የኩላሊት ህመም ምክንያት በቤተሰቦቹ እና ዘመድ አዝማዱ አቅም በቻለው መጠን የዲያሌሲስ ህክምናውን ሲከታተል ቆይቷል። በመሆኑም አሁን የሚገኝበት ደረጃ እጅግ የከፋ ስለሆነ የኩላሊት ንቅለ ተከላ ማድረግ የግድ ሆኖበታል ለዚህም ህክምና ከ5,000,000ብር (5 ሚሊዮን ብር) በላይ ተጠይቀዋል። ሰለሆነም የአዳማ ሳይንስ እና ቴክኖሎጂ ዪኒቨርሲቲ  ተማሪዎች እና መላው ማህበረሰብ የበኩላቸንን ድጋፍ በማድረግ ህይወቱን እንድንታደግ የአክብሮት ጥሪ እናቀርባለን።

Dawit Teshome, 23 years old, is bravely fighting severe kidney disease. He has been undergoing dialysis with the help of his family, but his condition has now become critical. He urgently needs a kidney transplant, and the treatment costs over 5,000,000 Birr.

📢 Notice for Non-Cafeteria Students

We would like to inform all non-cafeteria students that their allowance has not yet been deposited.

Last week, the Students’ Union discussed this issue with the Student Service Dean. We were informed that the payment would be deposited.

Today, we met with the Finance Office, and they are still cross-checking students’ bank account details with their registered names. This delay is mainly caused by some students who did not correctly fill in their personal and bank information.

However, the Finance Office has assured us that the allowance will be deposited by Monday afternoon.

In addition, a meeting will be held on Monday afternoon with the Higher University Management to discuss about cost share. The meeting will be attended by:

After the meeting, we will share all official updates and confirmed information with you.
