WHITE RIBBON DAY & 16 DAYS OF ACTIVISM
Every year, the world joins together to stand against Gender-Based Violence and support the rights, dignity, and safety of women and girls.
White Ribbon Day the 16 Days of Activism (Nov 25โDec 10) is a global campaign that raises awareness, encourages dialogue, and promotes action toward ending violence against women. Wearing a White Ribbon means:
โจ I support respect and equality
โจ I stand against violence
โจ I choose peace, not harm
Its purpose is to:
๐ Educate and advocate
๐ Encourage reporting and protection
๐ Support survivors
๐ Unite communities for change
๐ On the final day โ December 10 (Wednesday),
the ASTU Females Association will distribute White Ribbons across the campus alongside short awareness messages, reminding all of us of our responsibility and commitment.
Letโs use our voices, our hearts, and our actions.
Together, we stand against violence. Together, we stand for women.
