This afternoon, 100+ protesters participated in a socially distant demonstration outside of the Governor's Residence in St. Paul, Minnesota.

They demanded the release of all detainees, including ICE detainees, those on work release, are medically vulnerable, have no criminal record, and technical violators. They delivered a petition with more than 800 signatures demanding Gov. Tim Walz (who's self-quarantined after his bodyguard tested positive for coronavirus) use his emergency powers to release inmates and detainees to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection and death in jails and detention centers.
