Incredibly based letter from the Kanienkehaka Five Nations Long House Confederacy on Kahnawake Mohawk territory here explicitly granting the student encampment at McGill permission to remain on said lands, with a blistering pro-palestinian libration historical analysis from having "observed the behaviour of the european for the last 500 years. They persist in their systemic colonial genocidal wars upon our Mother Earth and all Original Peoples and our territories here in Turtle Island and abroad, including Palestine." #escalate4gaza

"The only way that these occupations have a chance at actually impacting the genocide is if they turn into a much larger social explosion and political crisis that challenges the smooth functioning of American society, on the scale of the George Floyd uprising or greater. In that regard winning demands from universities is besides the point; these occupations at best serve as incubators for social eruption, and they do so best when there is spectacular police violence that outrages people, or inspiring resistance to the police, or literally just shit that looks lit and fun to people who aren’t university professors. The terrain is larger than the university and any strategic or tactical impulses have to operate with the larger terrain in mind." -a comrade

KNOW YOUR RISK ASSESSMENT:

(Or: Thinking Beyond Red-Yellow-Green)

Knowing where you fall on the Risk Assessment Model is a good way to measure the kinds of risks you're willing to take while protesting.

Some may have a lower tolerance for actions that have higher physical risk involved, while others may have a lower tolerance for actions that have a higher arrest risk. Some may not have the ability to take either kind of risk, but can still be invaluable in a support role. Roles can also change as situations develop, and nothing worth fighting for is truly free of risk.

y-axis --> risk tolerance
x-axis --> arrest tolerance

This might still be a long genocide. Sustain the ability to fight: always have an escape plan if defenses are breached.
