🚀 Stride is coming to Google Play!

We’re finally preparing to launch Stride on the Google Play Store. 💚

Due to some unforeseen circumstances, we can’t publish the final public version immediately, and the full release may take around 1–2 months.

But in the meantime, you can try Stride directly from Google Play for the next 3 weeks — until 22 October 2026 while the app is in Closed Testing.

The version currently available on Google Play is Stride v1.0.9, which is a pre-release testing build. It is not the final Play Store release, so you may encounter a few bugs or unfinished changes while using it.

🧪 How to join the test
1. Join our Google testing group

Go to:

Join this group:
testers-community@googlegroups.com

2. After joining the group, open Stride on Google Play

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vythera.stride

3. Install Stride → Unlock Premium → Enjoy! ✨

Make sure you’re using the same Google account for joining the Google Group and opening the Play Store link.

⚠️ The Closed Testing version will be available for around 3 weeks. After the testing period ends, this build may stop working and you may need to wait for the official public release.

🚶 Stride v1.0.10 — Looking Glass is out!

This one is all about accurate counts, plus the biggest visual update yet (v1.0.9 never went out on GitHub, so you get both at once).

🎯 More accurate steps
• Watch first: wear a watch or band? Stride now counts from it on days it syncs, and from your phone's own counter otherwise. The two are never added together any more, so no more doubled walks.
• Bus, car and auto rides filtered properly: Accurate step filtering now works with Health Connect too, and catches steps the phone delivers late with the screen off.
• Tested side by side with a CMF watch: Stride matched the watch exactly ✅

✨ New look
• Liquid glass nav bar, and glass cards for Classic and Verdant (Premium)
• 6 app icons to choose from
• Rolling numbers, badge celebrations, bouncy scrolling
• Height in ft/in, weight in lb
• Widgets now use Stride's fonts
• Live Updates show your step count

After updating, check Settings → Step source shows Automatic (the new default). If you picked a source by hand before, it's kept.

🚶 Stride v1.0.10 — Looking Glass is now on GitHub!

If you’re already part of the Stride Closed Testing program on Google Play, you can update to v1.0.10 from GitHub as well. 💚

The GitHub APK will update your existing Stride installation in place, so your:

• Step history

• Settings

• Premium status should stay intact.

This release brings the new Looking Glass update with improved step accuracy, better watch/Health Connect handling, the new Liquid Glass visuals, new app icons, animations, Live Updates and more.

🧪 Closed testers: you can keep testing Stride normally after updating from GitHub. Just make sure you remain opted into the Play Store testing program for the full testing period.

If anything looks wrong after updating, send me your phone/watch model + Step Source shown in Settings and I’ll check it. 💚
