We all have the choice to work out or not, but there is one workout that is not voluntary. Some of you are in the midst of it now; others have been recently and the rest of you will eventually be. That workout is better known as suffering.

The Apostle Paul knew a lot about hardships and sufferings.  Check out the beginning of the fifth chapter from his letter to the Romans.   He explains this.  Even though we are good with God because of Jesus, it doesn’t mean that everything in life will be easy or pain-free.

God uses our suffering to bring about our good. God takes the pain of suffering and develops our forgotten muscles of perseverance, character and hope.

Suffering is spiritual exercise.  It's hard to lift weights.  But those challenging physical activities are what eventually makes our muscles strong while building endurance and stamina.

We are all called to struggle.

The world you grew up in no longer exists. Prepare accordingly...
Media is too big

We lost one hive over winter but this one seems to be pretty healthy still. Almost out of honey but Spring approaches.
It's been a crazy week in the news between train derailments, chemical spills, and massive fires. Especially as the world grows worse

continue your efforts.
Modern life is set up to distract you. Matrixes upon matrixes have been created to leave you dumb and deaf. This systematic dopamine culture has been created to limit you and crush your soul.

We stand today in the midst of government psy ops, mass media manipulation, and systemic destruction of our culture.

You must overcome the corruption of society and break free from the shackles that are holding you.

Only you can rise up.

Only you can make a change in your life.

Only you can save yourself.

If you do not step into your potential, who will in this world of despair and degeneration.
History lives through us.  We are after all a product of all the lives that came before us.  It is an honor.

Centuries of war, famine, plagues, genocide, and centuries of prosperity, art, and creation all lead up to you.  In this time do you really think you have it worse out of all your ancestors that came before you?  Times may be different and we may face a different set of challenges, but that doesn't mean we won't pull through.

I look into the eyes of my children and I see men that will make a mark on this world.  Honor your ancestors and create a bright future.
A comfortable life tries to pacify you into putting things off. When you start planning your day, do just that. Putting off all the things you could be doing will snowball into a lifestyle of never finishing anything and always being one step behind your worst enemy - yourself.

"It is a well known fact that the majority of men today are relatively weak, whereas the struggle for existence demands now more than at any previous epoch that we should all be strong!"

If you're not keeping up with Garage Gym Laird Ross on Facebook, you're missing out.
My older boys are growing towards young teenagers, and parenting gets more challenging.  Gone are the days of - if you do this, you'll get that - type of parenting.

Now we dig into the deeper soil of our children’s hearts -  talking, praying, and teaching more important life lessons.

These are often days of self-reflection.  How are our children mirroring our own character -  or lack thereof?
We should never dwell too much on the things in life we can't control.  It's a great way to miss out on solving the problems that are within our reach.

The last few years have been very hard on my land.  Drought, floods, and freezes back to back have destroyed my once green pasture and turned it to mud.  Because of this and soaring feed and hay prices we've had to come up with new solutions in our ever changing environment.

Our farm is probably the most rewarding now despite the hardships.  We stopped focusing on the things we couldn't control and are making the best out of the rest.

When hard times create strong people, what are the things you can change?  It's all in your hands.
