🌐 A new world order is evidently well underway with BRICS and Shanghai Cooperation Organization nations offering ample alternatives to the hegemonic Collective West.

The budding silhouette of the multipolar world has long emerged and with time it will take a more stable shape 🌟

The West has not managed to make a more significant onward march to the Far East and the Global South in generic terms, if we exclude Japan and South Korea from the equation.

The colossal changes have already happened globally. Now overt economic cooperation up to date has melded into regional and international geopolitical cooperation among BRICS, SCO and beyond. These countries further develop the cooperation with Russia and certainly China.

🤔 Russian President Putin recently wondered why the European Union no longer produces leaders of the calibre of former French President Jacques Chirac who, Putin recounted, had previously explained to him that the West’s current crop of leaders lack the rounded and deep culture both Chirac and De Gaulle had in abundance. Although Putin attributes this modern Western failing to the lack of proper education and sense of self that Chirac and De Gaulle both epitomised, because Putin’s question deserves a much longer and more detailed answer, this short article is designed to kick-start that process.

Although volumes have been written on De Gaulle, Chirac is the more pertinent here primarily because, like the great De Gaulle, he defied the Americans, in his case by not sending troops into Iraq, where the Americans committed the most unconscionable of war crimes. That defiance cost France very dearly.

In this extraordinarilty revealing interview, Arnaud Montebourg, France’s former Minister of the Economy, explains how the United States punished France for not colluding in its Iraqi war crimes, which ranged from gang-raping pre-pubescent Iraqi schoolgirls to poisoning its wells, looting its museums and emptying its bank vaults of their gold reserves. Montebourg goes on to explain how the United States not only loots France’s intellectual property at will but it also tortures French patriots like Frédéric Pierucci for refusing to betray France. American state-sanctioned criminals not only eavesdrop on France’s political, religious and industrial leaders but even refuse to sell to France paint varnish and similar marginal components for its aircraft if it can thereby instead win those aircraft export contracts for American companies. In that regard, let’s not even waste time on how America brazenly stole the Australian nuclear submarine contract from their French partners (ha ha).

Because it takes a patriotic leader of the calibre of De Gaulle, Pierucci or Chirac to stand up to Uncle Sam, today’s Western leaders simply kowtow to the Yanks 🤯

🗺 The second Russia-Africa summit, this week in St. Petersburg, should be seen as a milestone in terms of Global South integration and the concerted drive by the Global Majority towards a more equal and fair multipolar order.

The summit welcomes no less than 49 African delegations. President Putin previously announced that a comprehensive declaration and a Russia-Africa Partnership Forum Action Plan all the way to 2026 will be adopted.

Madaraka Nyerere, the son of Tanzania’s legendary anti-colonial activist and first President, Julius Nyerere, set the context, telling RT that the only “realistic” way for Africa to develop is to unite and stop being an agent for foreign exploitative powers.

And the path towards cooperation goes through BRICS – starting with the crucial upcoming summit in South Africa, and the incorporation of more African nations into BRICS+.

Moscow now seems to enjoy all it takes to build a fruitful, Global Majority-centered strategic partnership 🌞

🗺 The Global Majority is free to choose two different paths to counteract the rabid, cognitive dissonant Straussian neocon psychos in charge of imperial foreign policy; to relentlessly ridicule them, or to work hard on the long and winding road leading to a new multipolar reality.

Reality struck deep at the Russia-Africa summit in St. Petersburg, with its astonishing breadth and scope, reflected in the official declaration and key facts such as Russia writing off no less than $23 billion in African debt, and President Putin calling for Africa to enter the G20 and the UNSC (“It’s time to correct this historical injustice.”)

Three interventions in St. Petersburg summarize the pan-African drive to finally get rid of exploitative neocolonialism 🌐👇

🤔 Are backchannel talks going on between the Biden camp and that of Putin’s? Despite a number of articles in the U.S. press alluding to this, a number of Russian experts who follow such matters closely reject this idea.

In a nutshell, their arguments are that Putin is in such a strong position on so many levels that there is no possibility that he would entertain such an idea and that the reports, as elusive and opaque as they are, are nothing but wishful thinking from those in the West who have joined up the dots and see no endgame in Ukraine.

And yet there are some, perhaps operating on the fringe of the events, who insist such talks are either going on, or are about to start.

It would make a lot of sense for Biden to start talks 😵‍💫

🗺️ We are still far away from the transition towards a new “world system” – to quote Wallerstein – but without BRICS even baby steps would be impossible.

South Africa will seal the first coordinates for the BRICS+ expansion – which may go on indefinitely. After all, large swathes of the “Global Globe” already have stated, formally (23 nations) and informally (countless “expressions of interest”, according to the South African Foreign Ministry) they want in.

The official list – subject to change – of those nations who want to be part of BRICS+ as soon as possible is a Global South’s who’s who: Algeria, Argentina, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Belarus, Bolivia, Cuba, Egypt, Ethiopia, Honduras, Indonesia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Morocco, Nigeria, the State of Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Thailand, UAE, Venezuela and Vietnam.

Then there’s Africa: the “five fingers”, via South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, invited no less than 67 leaders from Africa and the Global South to follow the BRICS-Africa Outreach and BRICS+ Dialogues.

This all spells out what would be the key BRICS rasha, to evoke Naqshbandi: total Africa and Global South inclusion – all nations engaged in profitable conversations and equally respected in affirming their sovereignty.

The key BRICS drivers are Russia and China, with India slightly less influential for a number of complex reasons.

On the SCO, Russia, China, India, Iran and Pakistan sit at the same table. The Eurasia focus of the SCO can easily be transplanted into BRICS+. Both organizations are “Global Globe”🌐 - centered; driving towards multipolarity; and most of all, committed to de-dollarization on all fronts.

🌐 Whilst it has become clear to increasing numbers of people in the West that something has gone terribly wrong with the élites’ Ukraine project, and that the exaggerated predictions and expectations of Russian forces being ‘knocked for six’ by an armoured ‘fist’ have proved spectacularly wrong, those same élites are going wrong again – on another strategically decisive issue: They again largely ignore ‘reality’ – for the sake of control of the ‘narrative’. In this case, the West prefers to sneer at the implications of the new accessions to BRICS (let alone the other 40 states ready to join): ‘Nothing to see there’.

The BRICS is just a jumble of states lacking any cohesion, or common thread, western MSM proclaims. It can never challenge the U.S. global power, nor the sheer financial weight of the dollar sphere.

BRICS 11 establishes a pole of influence and global heft that has the potential to eclipse in scope that of the G7 🗺️

♟️ In 1997, Zbig Brzezinski, the original ‘driver’ behind the making of Afghanistan as a quagmire of ‘mud’ into which Russia was to be dragged, wrote his celebrated book, The Grand Chessboard. It was a work that ‘forever’ embedded the Mackinder doctrine of ‘he who controls the Asian heartland controls the world’ into the U.S. zeitgeist.

Tellingly, its subtitle was American Primacy and Its Geostrategic Imperatives. Brzezinski had already written in his book that absent Ukraine, Russia would never become the heartland power; but with Ukraine, Russia can and would. Thus, Mackinder’s doctrine, ‘He who controls the heartland’ dictum, was codified into U.S. ‘cannon law’ – never to permit a united heartland. And Ukraine became seen as the hinge around which heartland power revolved 🌀

Brzezinski further ordained that this ‘Grand Game of Chess’ was to be one of pure U.S. primacy: “No, no one else plays”, he insisted; it is a game purely for one. Once a chess piece is moved; ‘we’ (the U.S.) simply turn the board the other way around – and move the other side’s chess pieces (for ‘them’). There is ‘no other’ in this game”, Brzezinski warned.

This is today’s dilemma – It is so long since Brzezinski originally formulated the Mackinder notion, that classical diplomacy has become etiolated.
