What is Corporative Learning? It’s learning experiences provided in cooperation with local businesses. During this walking field trip to a print packaging plant, students see an entire manufacturing process which incorporates recycling to show how a circular economy can function.
After viewing a corporate presentation on paper making, students plant saplings in lunch room milk cartons and take them home to transfer - biodegradable carton and tree - into the ground at home. Lesson: As we harvest trees to build buildings and make paperboard, we plant five saplings to replace each tree removed.
How much paper does your school or business use annually? How many trees are cut down to produce that much paper? What can we do to offset the deficit of these natural resources?
