Release notes STON.fi 12/16/2022

Overview:

In the updated version of the application, changes have been added to the UI and functionality, some bugs have been fixed and app performance has been improved.

New:

— Added transactions setting option for liquidity providing operation. Now the user can set the slippage tolerance for transaction in the same way as for the swap operation.
— Optimized work of the application. Now the application opens faster, switching between pages and loading interfaces also work faster.
— Updated UI components of swap and provide liquidity setting form. Changed styles: font and form size.
— Updated UI components of liquidity page. Changed position and states of buttons. Now it is more convenient to operate with liquidity.
— Updated buttons state. When you need to interact with your wallet you see text into buttons - “Confirm in your wallet”.

Bugfixes:

— Fixed issues which were driving the app into hanging or into deadlock state without response.

On December 23, $TGR jetton by Tegro will be listed on STON.fi DEX!

Tegro is a team that is developing products in the TON ecosystem including non-custodial wallet Uniton, decentralised exchange Tegro Finance, payment system Tegro Money and NFT Marketplace Libermall working on TON, BSC and ETH chains. Here you can see their roadmap.

STON.fi Update from 30.12.2022

Overview:

In the updated version of the application, changes have been added to the UI and functionality and some bugs have been fixed.

New:

• Added support for TON Connect 2.0. This is the standard for authorizing a wallet in the application. Now the user does not need to confirm each action with a scan of the qr. At the moment, you can try TON Connect 2.0 with Tonkeeper wallet version 2.8 and higher.
• Updated UI components of the liquidity page. Changed the style of the return transfer tokens form.

Bugfixes:

• Fixed a small issue in a case where a user provided incomplete liquidity.

We would like to wish you a Happy New Year and summarise the results of the year.

We began our work in May. Since then, we have built an original DEX on the TON blockchain from zero, and a wonderful community of Stonfiers who are always helping us to build DeFi on TON.

We still have a lot of work to do. And we have many features that are still being developed. We will surely surprise you in 2023!

Crypto Arbitrage

Arbitrage cryptocurrency trading is an important element in securing the function of decentralized exchanges (DEXes) that use automated market making (AMM) to determine the price of crypto assets. Without crypto arbitrage traders, replenishing liquidity pools and equalizing their balance, which changes after every transaction, would be rather problematic.

Simply put, arbitrage traders buy cryptocurrency where it is cheaper and sell it where it is more expensive. The traders monitor the price of cryptocurrency trade pairs on various platforms (for example, on exchanges) and buy or sell an asset when they find that its price differs across platforms. To perform this transaction, as a rule, they don’t even transfer their asset from one platform to another (there is simply no time for that), but keep funds on all platforms.

Sometimes this chain of exchange operations can be quite long if an arbitrage trader finds it profitable. For example, a certain chain of exchange operations, which many arbitrage traders follow, is initiated with every fluctuation in the exchange rate of currency pairs (BTC/ETH, ETH/TON, and TON/BTC). By sequentially trading BTC for ETH, ETH for TON, and TON for BTC, traders end up with more bitcoins than they had to start.

Arbitrage traders do not need to analyze market dynamics, develop long-term strategies, or attempt to predict bitcoin prices. It is enough to find differences in asset prices on various platforms and complete the transaction quickly. Therefore, cryptocurrency arbitrage is considered a low-risk strategy, but isn’t exactly easy to implement – this method requires large stockpiles of assets on different platforms. Frankly, the difference in asset prices is usually insignificant, and the arbitrage trader conducts a massive number of trading operations every day to turn a tangible profit.

Moreover, for successful arbitrage you need the technical means (bots, for example) to monitor prices and the course of trade – there are many “hunting” for the arbitrage situation and it often comes down to milliseconds.
