Pfizer and BioNTech submitted an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) application to the FDA for a 2-dose series of its COVID-19 vaccine for children 6 months through 4 years old.

- I am adamantly opposed to an EUA for Pfizer's BioNTech vaccine for children ages 6 months through 4 years. Data on pediatric COVID-19 cases show, for the vast majority, COVID-19 infection is asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic, and is self-limiting. Of the very few children who develop more severe illness requiring hospital admission, the majority have underlying health conditions.
- It is unethical to even consider authorization given that the Pfizer mRNA shot in children 6 months through 4-years old failed in the clinical trial to show any immune response or efficacy. The proposed 3rd dose has not been tested, which makes granting EUA at this time unethical. Where is the emergency?
- I believe the risk to children outweighs any benefit. The current, available evidence clearly shows that the risk versus benefit calculation does NOT support administering rushed and experimental COVID-19 vaccines to children, who have virtually no risk from COVID-19, yet face known and unknown risks from the vaccines.

— I am extremely concerned about approval of the Covid vaccine for children given the seriousness of adverse events that have occurred in teens and not acknowledged by the CDC, FDA, NIH and the vaccine manufacturing companies.
