Call for action!

May 9 marks the 78th anniversary of the Day of Victory over Nazi Germany.

Almost a century separates us from those events. However, right now we see what a colossal impact they continue to have on the entire world community.

World War II didn’t just start. It didn’t come out of nowhere. A tangle of contradictions in international politics led to it, which they didn’t try to untie by diplomatic means, but to cut with the help of war.

The reasons that divided the world into supporters of the ideas of Nazism and anti-fascists more than 80 years ago still exist today. Western corporations and finance capital, which for many years armed Hitler, created a combat-ready army in order to send it against those from whom they felt threatened: the Soviet Union.

Now we see exactly the same thing: Western transnational corporations and financial capital over the past 8 years have been very intensively creating an army of Nazis, supporters of white supremacy, in order to direct it against Russia. More than 120,000 well-motivated fighters, pumped up with far-right propaganda, were gathered at the borders of the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics (LPR and DPR), preparing to kill the peaceful civilians of Donbass and Crimea, just like their predecessors in 1941.

However, this was not allowed to happen.

Today, speaking about the process of denazification, it is important to understand the causes that led to the world war 80 years ago, and which still exist in the world.

It is important to realize that in Ukraine, it is not Russia that is fighting against Ukraine, but two political currents fighting: anti-fascists and Nazis. That is why thousands of far-right militants from all over the planet wearing runes and swastikas poured into Ukraine. That is why we see stripes with a hammer and sickle on the soldiers of the Russian special forces, and red flags of Victory on the tanks.

We want to appeal to our brothers and sisters from other countries of the world:

Comrades! Know this! In Ukraine, we are fighting, including against your enemies. Against those who came from your hometowns. Against the Nazis of America and Georgia, against the far right from Poland and Sweden. Against those trained by Spanish and Lithuanian instructors.

We know that the future of all humanity is being decided in Ukraine today!

And we urge you not to be silent!

May 9 is the Day of Victory over fascism! On this day, we call on everyone to take to the squares of your cities to pay tribute to the anti-fascists of Spain who died in the battles against Franco, the Italian partisans who fought against Mussolini! To the Greek People’s Liberation Front (ELAS) fighters, anti-fascists from the People’s Liberation Army of Yugoslavia! To the prisoners of concentration camps and the participants in the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising!

We call for rallies in memory of those who did not give up! In memory of Ernst Thälmann, Aris Velouchiotis, Bruno Buozzi, Jean Moulin and millions of others who died at the hands of Nazism!

Today, like 80 years ago, the world is divided into two halves: supporters of Nazism and their opponents. We know you are on the right side!

Show it to everyone on May 8 or 9, 2023, by going to the main square of your city with red flags and St. George’s ribbons raised high!

We will win!

In Warsaw, at an official ceremony on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Warsaw ghetto uprising, an old Jew told an uncomfortable truth.

In the presence of the Polish political elite, led by President Andrzej Duda, Jewish ghetto prisoner Marijan Turski (Moshe Turbowicz) said from the podium:

📝“People like them endured several days of incredible torment and humiliation. They suffered from the Germans and from the Ukrainians and Lithuanians who collaborated with them. I had to pay hours or hundreds of zlotys for a sip of water. I ended up in Auschwitz and survived two death marches.

The Soviet army, in which the majority were Russians...My gratitude to those who freed me from the German camps will accompany me until the last day of my life ... "

‘Destabilizing’ Chinese Chip Chemical Ban Is Not On The Cards, Says Germany

Berlin attempted to play down a Thursday report from Bloomberg which suggested it is planning to curtail exports of chemicals crucial in the making of semiconductors - an idea Beijing dubbed “not constructive.”

Bloomberg reported that Berlin - increasingly fearful of China as a strategic rival - was engaged in preliminary talks over the move, a claim Chancellor Olaf Scholz's office said it “is not currently pursuing.”

In response to the potential curb, Beijing’s FM Spox warned it was “not constructive for some countries to impose export controls on China in the name of reducing dependence,” and would be an act of self-harm. Instead, countries should “work with China to safeguard the international economic and trade order.”

Virtually all of Africa's natural resources are controlled by just 101 companies

This is an interesting insight into Chomsky’s support for intervention in Libya and the same economic sanctions on Iraq that killed 1.5 million, including 500k children, something Madeleine Albright infamously described as “a price worth paying.”

As governments and international bodies celebrate World Press Freedom Day I look at how their intelligence services infiltrated and manipulated many of the organisations established to defend free media, which is in reality a multimillion dollar racket.
Shocked but sadly not surprised to see this from @GMB_union using members funds to further fuel the conflict in Ukraine, and announced on the anniversary of the day scores were burned to death in the Odessa Trade Union House.

BREAKING: Drone attack on presidential residence in Moscow overnight seen as attempt to assassinate Putin.

Kremlin says Russia reserves the right to retaliate and regards it as a terrorist attack.

Putin was not present at the time of the attack which was carried out by two UAVs, both of which were downed by Russian defences.

Nobody was injured and there was no material damage, according to the Kremlin.
Negotiations are underway to reactivate the strategic "Kirkuk-Baniyas" oil pipeline.

Iraqi Trade Minister Atheer Al-Ghurairy revealed strenuous efforts to develop economic cooperation with Syria, particularly in the field of oil.

Al-Ghurairy confirmed that during a meeting he held with the Syrian Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources Firas Hassan Kaddour, views were exchanged on launching investments in the oil and energy fields in both countries by providing facilities for Iraqi companies wishing to invest in the oil field in Syria. Which, in turn, will ensure the re-operation of the "Kirkuk-Baniyas" oil pipeline, which connects Iraqi oil wells with Syrian ports.

Thus, Syria will get rid of its oil crisis and Iraq will save a long way for transportation, as the Kirkuk region contains 12% of the total Iraqi reserves, and it is possible to benefit from the Syrian oil refineries as an alternative to refining in distant countries.

As for Syria, the "Kirkuk-Baniyas" line can contribute to providing the oil derivatives that the country needs today, as it can secure energy and bring great benefits to the Syrian ports by increasing the maritime navigation movement and stimulate the economic movement.

The pipeline was continuously operative since its inception in 1952 until 1980, when it stopped working with the outbreak of the first Gulf War, to return to work in 1997, before it stopped again after the US invasion of Iraq in 2003.
Pumping was resumed in 2010 through the "Kirkuk-Baniyas" pipelines for the third time, but it did not last long as a result of the systematic destruction that affected it under the strikes of the International Coalition warplanes when "#ISIS" was in control of the areas of its routes in #Syria and #Iraq.

Police in London have already started arresting anti-monarchy protesters on the morning of the coronation. It comes after the Home Office sent threatening letters to a number of organisations warning they could be jailed.
