ββπ Pro tip: how many times should I have bloodwork done when cycling?
We all know that most common steroid cycles last 8-12 weeks. But how many times should I have bloodwork done when cycling?
Answer is simple: Usually 3οΈβ£β¦
π 1st - Should be done before your cycle starts. We do it to assess a baseline of what our hormone and general health markers normally look like so we can compare later on.
β 2nd β 3 to 4 weeks into your cycle. This bloodwork will show you if your testosterone is legit, assuming you use it as base. Also, it will help you adjust your AI dosage and prevent estradiol related sides. You may also compare health markers like lipids, liver and kidney function with your baseline numbers.
β3rd β Around 2 months after your PCT is finished. This should be compared with your first bloodwork. Your HPTA related tests, like FSH, LH and total testosterone will help you understand if you have fully recovered your natural production. Just like you can compare your health markers with your baseline and have a better understanding of how the cycle affected your health.

π An Incredible Fat-Loss and Anti-Aging Tool - Metformin (Glucophage) 101
Metformin is a very popular medication used to treat type 2 diabetes and polycystic ovary syndrome. Now, before you think this is definitely not for you, keep reading because this has a ton of applications in a bodybuilding and anti-aging context!
Metformin lowers blood glucose levels. This means that it can improve insulin sensitivity and aid in losing fat while also improving muscle building and nutrient partitioning.
Besides that it can also lower cholesterol and improve erectile function, two things that any bodybuilder on SARMs or AAS will appreciate. Finally, it has also been shown to contribute to longevity as well as fight certain kinds of cancer.
All in all, a great drug with tons of health benefits that can help just about anyone, including athletes.
But what about the side-effects? Well, the reality is that when used responsibly it is extremely safe. Hypoglycemia is a risk if combined with other blood glucose-lowering medications, but it can be solved by ingesting carbs.
There is also data showing that it may inhibit mTOR, which is linked to muscle growth. However, in the real world Metformin does not appear to limit muscle growth in any significant way. Quite the opposite, in fact.
The normal Metformin dose when bulking up is 1000mg/day, taken twice a day (morning and night). If you are cutting, opt for 250mg twice a day for a total of 500mg/day instead. Always try to take it before eating carbs.

When it comes to preserving testicular function, testicular size and fertility during a cycle (or during TRT), HCG is always the first peptide hormone to be suggested.

βπ»Triptorelin: The βOne-Shotβ PCT
Triptorelin is a peptide hormone that acts as an analog of GnRH (Gonadotropin-Releasing Hormone). GnRH is a naturally occurring hormone produced in the hypothalamus which triggers the production of LH (Luteinizing Hormone) and FSH (Follicle-Stimulating Hormone), which stimulate Testosterone production and spermatogenesis, respectively.
The way Triptorelin works is really simple: It replaces our naturally occurring GnRH production and stimulates the production of LH and FSH. This can be great if a low dose is used but can be devastating when overdosed.

π Metformin: a bodybuilding tool?
Metformin is a popular medication that is commonly prescribed to treat type 2 diabetes and polycistic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). It is derived from galegine, a compound found in a plant known as Galega Officinalis.
This drug works by inhibiting glucose production in the liver and inhibiting the actions of glucagon, a hormone that causes an increase in blood glucose levels.
These properties make Metformin a useful tool for bodybuilders, who can use it to improve their health, lose weight and even extend their lifespan while mitigating the side-effects of many PEDs.
