Hostile architecture is an urban-design strategy that uses elements of the built environment to purposefully guide or restrict behaviour.
Hostile architecture hurts houseless individuals, disabled people, children, the elderly, and the environment. Much of this urban design is incompatible with wheelchairs or mobility scooters, impeding some disabled and elderly peoples' ability to navigate a space.
