We want to press upon the fact that we should be unaffected by the results (fruits of actions) and perform the action as a matter of duty.The disinterested action is the best form of wisdom as we don't develop the I-ness feeling.We are here to play our part and we shall fight to the best of our ability.When Arjuna was filled with commotion during the war of Mahabharata,Lord Krishna said,you have no right on the fruits of your action and it is your duty to act.

To express the same idea in a different fashion and taking cue from Martin Luther Jr. words who famously said,"If a man is called to be a street sweeper, he should sweep streets even as a Michaelangelo painted, or Beethoven composed music or Shakespeare wrote poetry.
