This is an excerpt from an historical document, a book published in 1899 detailing the history and genealogy of the Borden family. Excerpts are the title page and book pages 28-31.
This account details part of why so many groups of settlers chose to move to the "New World."
In our history books, "religious persecution" is cited. This is the cover story we grew up believing - because history is written by the victors.
This historical account tells a much different story - a story where settlers were forced to leave their homes to protect their families from infant abductions and child sacrifices. People with no means or recourse fled to Wales and America.
