Even on your worst days, appreciate the fact that you get to be "You” for a little while. You experience this reality in your unique perspective, which is in a continual process of fading away. Setting good boundaries & healing are true acts of courage. Often for survivors this means moving from where they grew up, cutting off abusers & any other ‘handlers’ in their lives. Sometimes it even means leaving the therapists & traditional ‘talk therapy’ that isn’t working & finding alternative modalities that are safe, empowering & work to release trauma rather than relive it.

Its definitely not the easy path but every step you take towards your empowerment & healing is worth it. So is moving forward with more freedom & free thought. It’s time to release the shame, anger, fear, hurt, betrayal, guilt & stand in our power to shape a future of freedom for all beings, all survivors & especially our children
