● We have 12 tenses in English, while in Arabic we have only 2 tenses : present and past tense .
●Present simple in English is translated into present in Arabic.
E.g : Ali goes to school everyday.
علي يذهب إلى المدرسة كل يوم .
● Present progressive in English is translated into present in Arabic.
E.g : Ali is going to school.
علي يذهب إلى المدرسة.
● Past simple , present perfect and past perfect in English are translated into past in Arabic.
E.g: Ali went to school yesterday.
ذهب علي إلى المدرسة يوم أمس.
Ali had finished his homework.
اتم علي واجبه .
● Past progressive, present perfect progressive and past perfect progressive in English are translated into (were كان + present ) in Arabic .
E.g : Ali was going to school.
كان علي يذهب إلى المدرسة.
Ali has been going to school.
كان علي يذهب إلى المدرسة
Ali had been going to school.
كان علي يذهب إلى المدرسة.
