Skull denoting death and Cur . The devil is agent of evil. Heathcliff described Catherine that she has been bitten by death which means she is taken there to her own demise. Tempted by the lights of Thrushcross Grange. The temptation of Thrushcross Grange and their curiosity which lead them to House.
