TRUMP SAYS WE'RE NOT LOOKING AT PAUSING TARIFFS
Trump: “We have many, many countries that are coming to negotiate deals with us, and they’re going to be fair deals, and in certain cases, they’re going to be paying substantial tariffs.”
Trump: “There can be permanent tariffs and there can also be negotiations because there are things that we need beyond tariffs.”
Trump says “one of the ways” to eliminate the trade deficit with the EU is for the EU to buy US energy.
Trump reiterates that non-tariff barriers are significant in negotiations
