v0.6.2 Released!

This update adds various new settings, and fixes a couple crashes

Most important! And the reason for releasing this update, fixes the lyrics crashing on load. The backend changed the format of the lyrics, so the I updated the module to reflect that change

The update popup and last.fm username popup look a lot prettier now. I'm sorry for exposing your eyes to such horrendous looking things. Please forgive me

Added the ability to change the font of the lyrics. You can choose between the default font, Spotify's default font, or Apple Music's font

Added the ability to change the amount of space in between each line

Added new interlude option, Spicy lyrics. This option is 3 seconds of silence for an interlude to appear

Added new background quality settings. Hopefully lowering this will improve performance on lower end devices. You will have to let me know

Added an option to block ads. I haven't been able to test this too much, but I believe it works. Please let me know of any issues with it. It requires a restart of the app to take effect after turning it on.

Fixed an issue where the app crashes if you go to an artist's page with animated album artwork enabled


I have been working on a rewrite of the module, so things have been pretty slow lately. I am very sorry for that. I still have things to figure out what direction I want to take for the future of the module. Thank you for your patience and thank you for using Spotify Plus!

Spotify Plus v0.7

This is the biggest update to Spotify Plus ever. This version adds tons of new features, and finally brings Spotify Plus up to date with the latest version of Spotify

New Features

- 🎨 Custom Themes - Change the colors of Spotify to whatever you want! (Still in beta)
- 🎨✨ Auto Theme - Automatically changes the theme of Spotify to match your current song
- 🌐 Lyrics Translations - translate any song into English! (translating to any language coming later)
- 😴 Custom Sleep Timer - Create a custom sleep timer with any duration. You can also save them in the list for later as well
- 🔒 Persistent Private Session - Keep private session enabled forever
- ☰ Play Next - Unlike Spotify's normal queue which removes songs after they're done playing, play next keeps songs in your playback history permanently

Changes

- Updated to Spotify v9.1.68.1888
- The lyrics page has been reworked, so it now stays open even when changing songs
- The visuals of the background in the lyrics have been tweaked
- The lyrics have been heavily optimized, so everything should be smoother
- There is now a button in the context menu (the three dots) which lets you open the lyrics page. So if Spotify does not have lyrics, you can still open the lyrics
- If the song supports word by word lyrics, it will now show those instead of the normal Spotify lyrics above the title in the now playing view, if you have those lyrics enabled

v0.7 has turned Spotify Plus from just a module that has beautiful lyrics to a more fully featured mod. While there are lots of new features here, I would still love to add more! Please keep your suggestions coming. I love looking at what's possible with this project, but I only have so many ideas.

Spotify Plus v0.7.1

This update fixes the crashing issue by switching the lyrics provider to my own API. If you have any issues with songs not having lyrics, feel free to open an issue on the GitHub.

This update also adds an option to choose what language to translate lyrics into. You can change it in the lyrics settings

Spotify Plus v0.7.2

This update adds the ability to sync lyrics yourself and add submit them for all to enjoy! If you have any questions on how to sync songs, just let me know. I'd be glad to help! There are instructions in the app, and there are some instructions on GitHub as well.

You will have to uninstall the old version of Spotify Plus in order to install the new version. I changed the signature, so Android will refuse to update the app unless if you uninstall the old version. You can uninstall it by finding it in LSPosed or LSPatch, and tapping "App info"

What's New
- New lyrics background option in experimental settings. You should probably turn this on
- Immersive album artwork. This changes the album page and now playing screen to be more like Apple Music
- Redesigned now playing view. Not sure how to explain it, you can view it for yourself in experimental settings
- There's a new theme option in experimental settings. It makes the background of Spotify an animated view like the lyrics page
- There is an option to bring the heart/like button back instead of whatever this plus or add button or whatever they changed it to
- There's an option to change the swipe action on songs to play next instead of adding to queue
- Added ability to translate the app. If you know any other languages and want to help out, please check the readme

Changes
- Updated to Spotify version 9.1.82.2160
- Removed the remove create button option. It hasn't worked for months. I hope no one is sad about this
- Auto theme no longer reloads the app. Colors just change. No more flashing, yippee!
- The lyrics sync feature got more features. I'm not 100% about everything that changed, but I will list a few here
- It now saves your progress. So if you leave, or if something happens, you can continue right where you left off
- It now asks for credit when you submit lyrics
- It has better error handling if there are problems with your lyrics
- You can split syllables after you finished syncing the song
- Made syncing backing vocals a little easier. You can do them all at once instead of one at a time
- It should turn off crossfade now. This is so that the song doesn't accidentally end when you're doing the last line. It should also turn back on afterwards
- Themes now work on the album page and I believe the artist page
- I don't quite remember if this is new to this version or if it was 0.7.2, but the last.fm, lyrics, and play next button only show up on songs now instead of everything.
