Strasburg was lights out. Cash those bets in ๐Ÿค‘๐Ÿค‘๐Ÿค‘
Mississippi -7 @ 1.90 vs. Vanderbilt (NCAA Football)

Ole Miss returns home to face Vanderbilt. Weโ€™re liking them to have a big performance today. Ultimately this comes down to each teamโ€™s strengths and weaknesses. In terms of Mississippi, Where Ole Miss has been great this season is with their rushing attack is producing 199 yards per game led by Scottie Phillips. Phillips is fifth in the SEC with 389 rushing yards through five games played. Itโ€™s worth noting as well they faced some solid defenses as well such as Cal and Alabama. Vanderbilt is not quite on the same level, in fact, theyโ€™ve allowed 39 points per game and with the pass defense as well as 381 yards per game allowed. Their defense has just four takeaways. We mention this as Ole Miss starting QB situation is still to be determined. However regardless of who it may be, we like their chances to put up points. Vanderbilt on the other hand will likely be dependent on their running back Ke'Shawn Vaughn who has gone over 130 rushing yards in 2/4 games this year. Today will be a different test as Mississippi has improved their run defense substantially over the offseason. Theyโ€™ve held their opponents to just 107 rushing yards on average. We think theyโ€™ll be able to slow Vaughn down and force Vanderbilt to throw. Vanderbilt has looked good in the passing attack in one game this year, against Purdue but outside of them he threw for 85 yards against Georgia, 206 against LSU, and 189 against Northern Illinois last week. In our opinion heโ€™s going to need to repeat a similar performance to Purdue (maybe not quite as many yards) but heโ€™ll need to be sharp for Vanderbilt to do well. We expect Mississippi to be able to score as they do almost every week, we think it will be up to Vanderbilt to be able to keep it close. We think Mississippi can limit the damage on the ground and force Vanderbilt to score in ways other than their running back who has accounted for nearly half of their touchdowns this year. Vanderbilt is 0-4 against the point spread this year and weโ€™ll take the -7 with Mississippi with the key number of 7 points
โŒ Karvina +2 is a loss. They unfortunately got their biggest loss so far this season today. Will do our best to strike back with a better soccer tip next time

Mississippi runs all over Vanderbilt and they take this one comfortably tonight. 31-6 final as we end the night with a win!
Brann - Molde (Molde draw no bet) @1.72

Molde at moment is the best football club in Norway and have looked unbeatable lately. Last time they lost in the league was back in March away against Tromsรธ. Brann is not an easy team to beat but they're not great at home this season and they are not at Moldeโ€™s level which the table proves. Molde is 18 points ahead of Brann and are currently the best team in the title race while Brann is in the middle of the table and don't really have much to play for since European qualifications seem really unrealistic now. Molde lost a lot of points away in the beginning of the season but they have been solid lately and are the best away team in the league now. Therefore we consider the value on draw no bet as good and we expect Molde to win here.
Our bets for today:
Molde (Draw No Bet) @ 1.72
Atlanta Braves @ 1.83 (article above)
Molde (Draw No Bet) ๐Ÿ…ฟ๏ธush

Nothing lost here. Molde and Brann end in a 0-0 draw. Atlanta Braves pending to finish the weekend
Braves @ 1.83 ๐Ÿ’ฐ๐Ÿ’ฐ๐Ÿ’ฐ

Atlanta didnโ€™t quit. Down to their last out, they put up 3 runs in the 9th inning and win 3-1! An unbelievable finish that gets us to 5-1 (with two pushes) to start the month!
Washington Nationals F5 (first 5 innings) 0.0 (ML) @ 1.71

Itโ€™s an elimination game for the Nationals and we like them to start the game strong. Theyโ€™ll do so led by Max Scherzer. We like him here in a do or die situation. We are strong believers in batter vs. pitcher lifetime history and through 106 at bats, the Dodgers roster has hit .179 with a wOBA of only .302. Against the Brewers in the wildcard game, Scherzer pitched well despite all 3 runs coming through home runs. For the season Scherzer has just a 2.92 xFIP, has been unhittable against right handed batters (0.225 wOBA) and still solid against lefties (0.321 wOBA) with a huge strikeout rate of 35.2%. The only way we really see him getting beat here is through home runs, however like we saw with Adam Wainwright and the Cardinals yesterday, experience matters. Fortunately the Braves won the game late, but it was a reminder that veteran pitchers so often rise to the occasion when it matters most. With statistics and that factor in mind, we think Scherzer will deliver. For the Dodgers we see another experienced pitcher in Rich Hill but this matchup could cause some issues. The biggest thing that stands out is the ISO of Rich Hill. We discussed being worried about home runs with Scherzer (his ISO against lefties is a .190) Rich Hillโ€™s is even higher at 0.202 against righties. This is important to note as the Nationals have 6 righties in the lineup. While we understand the same argument can be used against Scherzer, Hill has allowed 5 home runs through only 60 at bats against Nationals hitters. That is almost twice as worse as Max Scherzer who has allowed 6 though 106 at bats. Rich Hill also has not gone beyond 3 innings since June 14th. Heโ€™ll likely go 4 innings at the most, but due to his lack of pitching in recent months, weโ€™ll attack him here. When not โ€œstretched outโ€ pitchers can often struggle. He faces a Nationals team that has hit lefties very well this year with an OPS of 0.828. Considering heโ€™ll face one of the best pitchers in MLB on the other side heโ€™ll have to outperform him. With these factors in mind, weโ€™ll go with the Nationals in the first 5 innings of this game (a tie after the 5th inning will be a push)
Nationals F5 @ 1.71 ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Just like yesterday, we cash our bet at the very end! The Nationals have a huge 5th inning, take the lead and we keep our MLB playoff bets running hot!
Houston Astros - Tampa Bay Rays Under 7.5 runs @ 1.86

The Astros lead the series 2-1 and need one game to win the series. The Rays need a win to stay alive. Today we have an interesting pitching matchup. First, Justin Verlander will pitch for the Astros. There is nothing negative to really say about Verlander. He has a 3.08 xFIP, holds opposing hitters to a wOBA under 0.250 from both sides of the plate and has a massive strikeout rate of 35.4%. We want to bring up the strikeout rate for the reason that the Rays had the 8th highest strikeouts per game average in MLB this year. On a good day Justin Verlander can shut anyone down. Through 137 at bats, Verlander has allowed just one home run to the Rays hitters, and has held them to a .182 batting average, .490 OPS and a .224 wOBA (all elite numbers). In game one of this series Verlander gave up just one hit over seven innings. Heโ€™s gone at least 6 innings in 8 out of his last 10 starts. Overall itโ€™s hard to make an argument for the Rays to score a lot of runs. On the other side, the Rays will have a โ€œbullpen gameโ€ where theyโ€™ll use multiple pitchers. With any other team weโ€™d be concerned however, the two things the Rays have working for them is a great manager in Kevin Cash (to rotate through pitchers and play the matchups well) and a great relief pitchers statistically. Here are the numbers for the year vs. the last month:

Full season (ranked 1st)
ERA: 3.71
xFIP: 4.13
WAR: 7.6

This month (ranked 2nd)
ERA: 2.97
xFIP: 3.53
WAR: 2.8

As you can see the Rays bullpen is one of the best. In fact their numbers actually have been better than season averages as of late. Overall this is a low total, we understand that, but from a statistical standpoint, we trust Verlander, we trust the Rays bullpen, and Rays manager Kevin Cash to use his analytical managing style to hold the Astros down in this game.
Astros - Rays Under 7.5 runs ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ

The Rays bullpen was on lockdown mode the entire night. They shut down the Astros and win 4-1! 5 total runs and we stay undefeated in playoff baseball thus far!
