Dr. Hailemichael Desalegn MD, PhD is well acknowledged as Elimination champion by the Coalition for Global Hepatitis Elimination. During the event, he was also selected as a speaker at the World Congress of Gastroenterology held in Dubai.
He is recognized for his excellent service regarding Viral Hepatitis prevention, providing professionals with relevant training, rendering superb service to patients as well as coordinating a range of activities along this line.
He was chosen as one of the six professionals worldwide who have been providing patients with the best treatment and exhibiting appealing coordinating service.

St. Paul Hospital Millennium Medical College (SPHMMC) and CCE jointly hosted a Pacemaker Implantation mission in collaboration with Dr. Franck Halimi (an electrophysiologist from France). A total of 13 patients received a pacemaker implantation for free!
Additionally, a new Electro Physiologic (EP) study lab was established at SPHMMC’s cathlab and launched its service with a Radio-frequency Ablation of an accessory pathway for a young patient with WPW for the first time in Ethiopia. This was a breakthrough and a giant leap.

Announcement for fellowship programs in Radiology
Department of Radiology and MRT is pleased to announce that it's restarting fellowship training programs in collaboration with stakeholders at home and abroad in a number of subspecialties in 2023.
Areas are Cardiothoracic imaging; Woman's and Breast Imaging; Body imaging; Neuroradiology; MSK imaging and Vascular and Interventional radiology.
All interested are encouraged to apply. The selection process follows the rules and regulations of the college and what's stated in each curriculum. Trainee selection will be the responsibility of the SPHMMC, Department of Radiology, and MRT.
Academic Requirements - The candidate should be a holder of a degree of Doctor of Medicine from a recognized university and must have a general radiology specialty certificate from a recognized university. - The candidate must be a registered and licensed general radiologist by the Federal Ministry of Health of Ethiopia and should have practiced for at least two years as a general radiologist. –
Foreign applicants must hold a letter of good standing from their institution and must produce their professional license from the ministry health of Ethiopia as per the national and college legislation.
Non-academic Requirements - Applicants must be in acceptable physical and mental health without any serious health conditions that would limit the ability to cope with the requirements of the training program and service. The AC reserves the right to deny admission to unfit candidates.
Selection - All interested radiologists meeting the above criteria are eligible. If the number of applicants exceeds the available spot, selection will be made based on the score achieved on the following parameters and those candidates with the higher scores will be selected: 1. OSCE - 30% - Multiple Stations with Cases which will be assessed in an objective and structured manner. 2. Interview -30% based on standardized interview format 3. Entry portfolio and other documents review -- 40% -which includes, CV, postgraduate performance, letter of appreciation for extra-activities with certificate awarded, Research activities, publications, recommendation letter, and sponsorship letter. Application dates and place:
