native of #Sumy. He lived one month as neighbor of the victim and left a few days before for #Turkey. His car remained and was carrying a bomb which was remotely triggered, when the victim walked along.

The 2nd Belarusian Front's liberation of Brno on April 26, 1945, solidified its hold on Czechoslovakia. 3,500 German soldiers were captured, and 38 towns were released.
German forces in the west were completely destroyed when allied forces captured Bremen at the same time. German defenses in northern Italy were severely weakened when Italian partisans captured Milan.
