🔍 You can now upload visionOS apps for private and public testing.

There are no 🥽 devices on sale. Most likely Apple sent the glasses to some teams before the official launch.

👶 SwiftUI has removed the 10 view limit. Works in the 3rd beta of💻 Xcode.

Previously you couldn't add more than 10 views to a group. To get around the limit, it was suggested to split into subviews or combine them into Group, VStack, HStack and List, with the same limits inside.

Unity tools for 🥽 visionOS applications have been announced. The technology is called PolySpatial - you can create and even port applications. It was developed together with Apple, and integration with 📺 Composer is announced.

Interestingly, SwiftData, Combine, WidgetKit, iAd, App Intents and App Clips are not available. But Watch Connectivity is available, you can synchronize with watches.

💻 Xcode 15 Beta 5 has been released. Download by the link. Fixed a bug with Observable - earlier visionOS projects build failed.

From Spring 2024 👨‍💻 to use UserDefaults - you will need to provide a reason. This also applies to Active keyboard API, File timestamp and Disk space.

Privacy-manifest is a new key-value file. For API, you specify the key and the ready value as the reason.

👶 foregroundColor Deprecated in iOS 💽. It has been replaced with foregroundStyle.

The modifier accepts a fixed color or style parameter - primary, background, placeholder, etc. The list of hierarchical styles is here, and the semantic ones are here.

Multicursor in 💻 Xcode

1. Control + Shift + Click
or
2. Control + Shift + ⬆️/⬇️, so the multicursor will be next to the line
or
3. Option + drag cursor

💳 If the payment for the subscription failed, a screen will appear to update the payment method inside the app. Today in release.

Works with iOS 16.4. The screen will appear automatically, but you can set it up manually. Tests via Sandbox.

🔥 Firebase can revoke the Sign in with Apple token now. Documentation link here.

If the app has authorization, then the account must be deleted and the token revoked.

Since 5th beta 💻 Xcode 15, if a .plist or storyboard falls into a merge conflict, the file will open with text.

💻 Xcode 15 beta 7 has been released. From the important - now #if os (iOS) is not executed for visionOS, which means that frameworks that have not been updated build failed.

Also 📦 SwiftData models are not being built for visionOS, although everything is fine on the 6th beta. All changes by the link.

Another new 👨‍💻 Technote about Universal Links. They told how to test and configure the apple-app-site-association file:

After installing the app, the CDN immediately requests the ASSA file and updates it once a week. For tests, you can reinstall the app or bypass the CDN.

💻 Xcode 15 RC is released. Now you can upload and send for review apps from iOS 17 and macOS 14. They check quickly.

App with 🥽 visionOS can only be uploaded for testing with Xcode 15 Beta 8.

💻 Xcode 15 released. The release version is the same as the Release Candidate - no need to download again. Link to 🌐 AppStore.

In iOS 💽 👶 cornerRadius was deprecated.

Instead you should use clipShape(.rect(cornerRadius: 8)), it is available from iOS 13.

✍️ SF Symbols 5 has been released. What's new:

- 700 new symbols from iOS 💽
- Added animations. There are previews in the app.
- You can customize elements, like move the badge higher.
