Putin is the logical conclusion of a lot of the Authortarian Right... The ones that can't help but cover for a violent tyrant with whataboutism and propaganda. The mask has dropped for a lot of people lately.

It's not about protecting liberty or freedom. It's about taking control of the government to punish the left, even if it means abandoning American values. We have to destroy Western Civilization to save it!

This is going to be used by Putin as an escalation. The majority of the country hates the West because of our support for Yelstin and transferring their wealth to Oligarchs. To Russians, democracy means cronyism, and the US betrayed them. So when they’re shown this, a call for regime change, after Biden has destroyed their economy, they’re going to lurch harder into Putin’s nationalistic rhetoric. This comes at a moment the Russian Army has begun signaling a “new phase” of the war, aka retreat.

I’ve read about three books and watched ten documentaries in the past month and I think I know more about Russian politics than this guy.

I heard an explanation today that the Russians don’t have non commissioned officers. So if you have an American unit with conscripts, you’ll have a trained Sargent directing the orders. But in Ukraine , they’re sending out squads of conscripts and it’s obviously not going well so generals have to keep going to the front lines to direct the clueless soldiers
