Kam knew there would be no return. Peace and eternal rest was promised, but the calling of the Thick World and their duty to the Old still rung true in their mind.
Both agreed, they would see it through to the end, and so, turned away from the cyan gates of Brightsheol.
Their vision fades, and the matter of their new body starts to thicken and clot. They're inlaid with ribbons of bone, tissue, nerve and flesh, and made anew.
