Working on an icon commission! Figuring out the right angle first u.u
Going to start sharing some of the stuff I made a while back for our cancelled "Moth Survivors" game! We wanted to go a different route with the bullet heaven survival genre, but ultimately we decided to scrap the project. It was part Vampire Survivors, part Warframe, part Chao Garden. These are all mockups for what we wanted the game to look like initially c:

In Moth Survivors we wanted every "Agent" (the characters you build throughout the game), to feel different. Ended up being a bit too big of a scope for our little team!

Some sprites for Moth Survivors! We only made some as we were testing out how to make dual-tile systems for the game so it would randomly generate the backgrounds. Player and enemy sprites were equally simple - we wanted to spend more time on the UI and systems than on the "field", it was an early alpha after all.

The final bit of assets made for Moth Surivors! Icons! A good chunk of the game would be management, so the iconography was going to be important. Besides showcasing the prototype characters, we also have icons for every powerup and pickup in the game, health, xp, money, etc.

A sketch featuring my curent character in Caves of Qud. It's hard to overstate how much the writing in this game is evocative and just phenomenal, so I had to illustrate one of my favorite bits in the story so far.

In March me and the MFG folks took part in the Godot Wild Jam, where we wanted to make a kaiju game c: I'l be sharing some of the work I've done for it in the coming days! In these early concepts I was looking to define the look of our kaiju and the army fighting them ~
