During the visit, the students gained a clearer understanding that artificial intelligence should not be viewed only as a technology that takes over human work. Rather, when developed and used responsibly, AI can support human capabilities, improve productivity, solve complex challenges, create new professions, and generate additional employment and innovation opportunities. They also recognized that AI does not eliminate the importance of human creativity, judgment, ethical responsibility, and critical thinking; instead, it increases the need for people who are capable of designing, managing, improving, and applying intelligent technologies effectively.

The experience also helped the students understand how essential AI knowledge and digital skills have become in today’s rapidly changing world. As artificial intelligence continues to influence education, research, industry, healthcare, agriculture, transportation, aerospace, and many other sectors, developing a strong understanding of AI is becoming increasingly important for young people who wish to remain competitive and contribute meaningfully to society.

This valuable exposure inspired the trainees to deepen their knowledge and pursue future academic and professional opportunities in science and technology. Such educational visits play a significant role in helping talented students identify promising career pathways and in developing the skilled human capital Ethiopia needs to advance in artificial intelligence, space science, aerospace, robotics, and technology-driven innovation.
