Can't believe I hadn't watched this sooner, the concept is a fever dream. It's fun to imagine how programs would feel if we were experiencing them from the inside, alive and breathing. When I'm online I find myself in that state of mind.

The psychology captures a core 80s view of technology; programming, creativity, and skill were treated as an extension of the human mind and fully interconnected rather than just the results of raw computing power. Software reflects people who built them. The CGI is certainly outdated and choppy but it adds a lot of charm to the retro magic of that techno-era.
