This is my only [selfish] reason for wanting a child. I will share my movies songs books and art which they will love. It would be interesting to introduce a new human spawn to my phantasmagoric perception of the world and see how they turn out, how they react. Perhaps they'll be like me but better, more cool.

Can't believe I hadn't watched this sooner, the concept is a fever dream. It's fun to imagine how programs would feel if we were experiencing them from the inside, alive and breathing. When I'm online I find myself in that state of mind.
The psychology captures a core 80s view of technology; programming, creativity, and skill were treated as an extension of the human mind and fully interconnected rather than just the results of raw computing power. Software reflects people who built them. The CGI is certainly outdated and choppy but it adds a lot of charm to the retro magic of that techno-era. I loved the neon landscapes, corporate scifi designs, psychedelic energy. It was disorienting at times but ambitious. Certified gamers will enjoy
